I can see why there are less light mechs playing. It has nothing to do with state rewind. It's just there is no need for scouting when half the enemy team is poptarts. You already know where they are going to be. Forest Colony? Lined up behind the ship. Tourmaline? In the crystal formation by Theta. Every match plays out the same.

The good news for brawlers is that most Highlanders are so slow that they don't have much time to change positions so they are pretty easy to close with. Up close they really aren't scary, at least not to my Atlas. Why? Well, they carry about 5 tons more of weapons then I do, and most likely at least 6 tons of JJ. A lot use XL engines. That means I am just a lot tougher and I run cooler then they do as well. Once you weather one or two alphas they start looking for an escape route, but by then it's too late. Even with JJ they ain't getting away. :D

So in short, most games you end up fighting the same overheating enemies in the same locations.

Here here bro.

The Poptart FOTM will hopefully end soon. Wrecked a couple of these things with my dual AC5 Muro. Better fire rate, faster closing speed, and I'm a pretty good shot if I say so myself. I close, you die.

LOL! Not sure what game you're playing, but that is not what I am seeing on Forest Colony. Usually I see everyone going behind the hills. From both sides.

Maps are not broken.

Just that poptarts are easy to out think. They all set up in the same places, so it's easy to get behind them and rip them open.

That has been my experience in the matches I played last night and this morning. YMMV of course.
