[Mechwarrior Buddah]

Is it just my connection? Takes at least five minutes to resolve a post after midnight, same for bringing up a new page, it slows waaaaay the hell down around that time.

It's not just you, I'm seeing this as well. I run Frontier FiOS connection and everything else checks out fine on my end and other sites all load without any delays.

If I had to guess, I would say their hosting company only gives them a set amount of bandwidth, and at night they have other jobs running, like off-site backups and whatnot. They could also be doing maintenance, or messing with their back-end stuff. hard to say really, but I have noticed this as well.

I was making sure its not just me, it seems to have gone for the moment, but it took at LEAST five minutes just to get this thread processed when I hut post.

I've noticed it occasionally after 8:00PM PST long loading times for the forums. but the forum is having a # of problems lately such as the search not working and last page button not working so i'd imagine there is a major problem going on in the background. If not, my 2 cents is there is a chance that around this time some of the 'server resources' are shifted (in some way to help loading times) to Europe to prepare for that check the forums before work increase in traffic. (remember Germany has strong battletech following so this might be a large amount of traffic worthy of shifting resources) but that my complete no evidence guess.

I see this as well. I'm not really buying the "the resources are busy" thing. This is the only site I've ever frequented that has the same thing happen at the same time, every day.
