Ultimate? Did anyone tell you about ECM and how you need to carry TAG?

Well I would say I stand corrected. However, you go 12.5kph slower with 2 ton less ammo, no back up weps and no JJ! Oh also, no artimis! Guess I should say Ultimate best well rounded lrm boat. Tag would be helpful but why is ecm anything for lrm boats! (other than a hindrance, still why should I care about ecm?) I understand tag but not worth the space rather have personal defense!

Edit: Okay, just for sadistic fun, lemme make a list of how your build will be ripped to pieces.

No TAG. "Personal defense hurr durr!" Yeah those two tiny MLas of yours will help you survive really long. It may actually burn down the paintjob of that Raven! Also DDC would really love to eat you as some extra large dessert.

Slow. That tiny engine of yours would really help if you have a ECM Spider/Raven in your back.

Oooh, how long would it take to squeeze 30 missiles through that six tubes of yours?

Of course I was joking, but that is the mech that can fire the most LRMs in one shot, 90, and the 2nd highest of any to 100.

Um..for fun let me respond:

1. K, no tag not the end all be all. However, would be nice.
2. Yes, I am slow never said I was fast, ecm fast mechs will wreck me. However, they do that to all slow lrm boats!
3. Well, it takes surprising less time than you think. If reg fire all are out in 1.5 sec if chain fire 2/2.5 sec, tops. (basically the same if I was chain firing!)

Also, the 2 med lasers are more for defense from large guys if im stuck. And, for fun can up it:

FYI the Highlander has adaptive tubing which Smurfy doesn't recognise. The arm can have 10 tubes (and the torso 30 if memory serves, not in game to check)

Yup that's a thing I overlooked. Makes me wonder when would that apply to all Mechs. They've already done a few on ballistics too.

But still, that Highlander is way off from "ultimate". That's Stalkers' home field.

Gauise, if you don't pay attention to the number of tubes per torso area then you are going to end up firing missles 5 at a time for 6 volleys, it will not be easy to hit. Look at the number (next to) the M on the smurfy page.

Here is a nice 3N stalker LRM boat with 3ML TAG 2LRM20 2LRM5 and 2000LRM rounds that fires 50 at a time. Here's a hybrid build 3N with 2xLRM20, 2xSSRM2, 3LL, TAG, 700 lrm rounds.

Not enough missiles to sustain you for a full match. You run into an identical issue as I had here.

Not enough ammo, too many missiles trying to fire through 7 tubes.

A lot of builds being posted here are making many common short cuts in order to get the LRM count to silly numbers

- No Artemis
- Using 'NARC hardpoints' to mount LRM15-20
- Less than 8 tons of ammo
- No AMS

Particularly about the first 2, they will help dmg more than adding another 10-20 to the LRM count or whatever.

I've been looking to make a loadout like this with only two sets of lrm15s and a pair of ERllas instead of the two mlas. Seems like it might be fun to play around with.
