Why would you sell anything? Mech bays are cheap enough that space really ought not to be an issue, and the c-bills gained by selling a chassis are trivial and it'll really cost you if you ever decide you want to drive that old D-DC again some day.

Not in my experience. In my experience that 400 damage 6 kill guy got lucky landing kill shots on guys other people had significantly damaged. Probably the 800 damage guy actually.

Its better than the previous ones, but the "10 best" is still a flawed method as it still creates a games played beats all situation.

Ive said this before... you should have a set number of games to complete and thats it. Like 100 matches. Once you have played 100 matches after opting in, thats it, your finished. No other serious competitiions have a '10 best' way of scoring because it still doesnt gauge true skills.


if anything it should be 10 matches, and thats it. That is your tourney score. If you are really skilled you will do well in those 10 matches.(but 100 would be better) Instead of playing 500 matches and getting lucky 10 times.

You're right.

Probably only 1300+ and all 8 kills + assists times 10 will be required to place.

I didn't entirely enjoy my Atlas time... but the Highlander is a disappointment at the moment, so I probably could figure something out with some other Assault.

You'd have to be incredibly lucky to get 6 killshots in one match if you're not aiming well. Not saying it can't happen, but I find it more likely he aimed for damaged CT or sidetorsos for those with XL or went for Catapult cockpits etc. If you're running an assault it's not really that hard to rack up damage, but a tournament that heavily rewards you for doing damage all over while going for a headshot means you'll end up far down in the rankings doesn't make too much sense.

Not all matches are created equal (things happen that don't go your way). A limit of 100? Perhaps... but whatever I guess.

Actually that's highly luck based, very small sample size, who you drop with being a random out of your control thing, like your hand dealt in poker. There is a reason tournaments are structured with blinds sized to increase slowly and go on for days.

100 and best 10 out of was a better idea.

Nah I doubt it will take that to get into the top 100. To win it perhaps. Even the best players don't get 1000+ solo games that easy. Remember the better the player, the better (supposedly) their team mates. There is only so much damage to go around before you run out of targets. You can be the best MechWarrior around, but it's hard to get 1000+ damage if your team mates are shooting well too.

Getting six kills is incredibly lucky your teammates are either not doing well and you are filling the power vacuum or they are pulling their weight damage wise and you are yoinking the kills.
