Just a few thoughts that came to mind that might make the BAP worth picking up:

- BAP can detect enemies behind your mech, range to be decided (similar to the pilot module)
- BAP can occasionally detect ECM-"cloaked" mechs (think enemy "ping" flickering on the minimap).
- A mech carrying the BAP can get a lock on a mech hit with a NARC transmitter, even if that mech is under an ECM screen (finally a reason to take along a NARC, right?)
- general detection range boost
- bigger boost to target lock-on, slower target decay, cumulative with pilot modules

Any of these alone might make taking the BAP along more valuable, and a few could even be combined without making it too powerful.

think Bap is ok, but I would like the sensor detection mounted on the console like ECM and flash red for being jammed, detect a shutdown mech, and target detected. and green for all clear, BAP is scanning.

I guess this stuff has already been discussed ad nauseum if there's hardly any participation?
