And at least two of those variants use technology that is either not yet available in the timeline or in MWO.

Request denied! For now!

They really should make Arrow IV available to us. We need something to counter those snipers.

Psh... devastator and Nighstar.. or a Kingcrab. Thunderhawks are just silly. Heck.. or even an emperor. Jump capable assault with atleast two ballistic hardpoints, one in each arm.

But my Fav would still be the devastator

Thunderhawk was introduced in 2771 and Arrow IV was rediscovered by the Capellans in 3044.

So what are you exactly referring to?

He is referring to the fact that Thunder Hawks.... Mmmmm Thunder Hawks did not ReAppear till nearly 3058. IIRC They either were destroyed during the Amaris Civil War or gobbled up by the Star League in exile.

probably this part: (from Sarna.net)
"Thunder Hawk production began again during the mid-3050s."

Which is why it is in the 3058 TRO, and one can safely assume it was no sooner than late 3055 or early 3056 since it would have appeared in the 3055 TRO.

A nice consolation prize would be a Devastator! Production date 3048(ish).

We need to deep six the 3 chassis to master dynamic. To many good builds are being left to rot.
Gimme a Grasshopper. Awesome heavy Brawler.

I think that the master 3 chassis to master dynamic is ok, but if you can pull from different variants that maybe hero's set up in some of the system, you might be able to create more. But some had just single variants and I do agree something would have to be done, whether creating non-canon variants that do not destroy balance that PGI could create or work something similar to that might also be possible.

I would prefer they would change the XP system for mastering chassis. However I think having a three or more viable canon variants is a good idea, when it comes to adding mechs to MWO. It insures a variety for the chassis, while keeping a grounding to Battletech canon. PGI creating there own hero mechs are a good enough compromise on that.

LRM's are supposed to be the counter. Its just that Piranha has dropped the ball on fixing LRM's at the moment.

I am just calibrating the PLJ operations for this board.

Do not be alarmed this is for your own good, We Post better than you, just answer the question.

Guys, with all of the love of the Urban, and all of the lust for a new 100 ton, why not the Imp?

This beautiful machine boasts a hefty 300 XL (54.0 kph), made even better by the fact that it's chassis is almost all head.
It packs a devastating arsenal of 2 x ERPPCs, 1 x LRM15, 1 x Large Pulse, 2 x Medium Pulse, as well as 2x Mediums.
Running at an affordable 22,330,000 CB, you can't let this possibility slip away!
It also arrives in the timeline in 3050 with the clans, so we won't need to wait 8 years.
