At my ELO and timezone I've still been seeing mostly Atlas DDC's all the time. Like at least 2-3 a side. I'm often the only HGN on my team since the patch dropped. Iits sad because I have to get super excited when a team doesn't bring enough ECM and I can actually USE my LRM 20's

PGI probably should have addressed Jump Jets and the PPC/Gauss Meta before they released. But yeah...that requires some fore-thought on their part, instead of randomly changing things hoping something sticks.

...and the more you post the less they listen.
Which is ok the less they listen the less I spend.
If you want to see an example of how the relationship between the community and the devs could have been, check out Charlie "Flayra" Cleveland's company Unknown Worlds Entertainment and their latest product Natural Selection 2. It's a great game and a testament to what can be accomplished by a small team of developers (10 or less actual employees of the company) who treat their community with respect. They had community members jumping out of the woodworks as volunteers to help them create the game and contribute everything from actual code optimization to balance ideas.
At the October 31st 2012 release NS2 was the #1 selling game on Steam.
Edit: forgot to mention one of the most impressive things about this game - UWE created their own proprietary engine from scratch instead of using the Half-Life: Source engine as originally planned. The engine is called Spark and is almost entirely .lua based so that it can support the modding community.

Of course, I agree. They don't listen to the forums nowdays and I don't blame them.

PGI is going to take months to untangle the rat's nest of bad balance they've created.
dead on.
Except for the "going to take months to untangle the rat's nest of bad balance" part. Not too sure they're going to do that. I've seen no real indication that their understanding of balance is improving. In fact, it seems to have just gotten worse over time. Just my opinion, but the game was much more balanced towards the end of last year.

Half the threads you posted actually prove the opposite of what you say. I suggest you actually look at the poll numbers you post before you post them.
No, the community (or at least, the majority of the community) never asked for the direct damage lollapalooza we have going on right now. But even if we had (we didn't), PGI should know better than to implement it.
Also, most of those examples are what PGI was already doing regardless of what was being said by the community. Large maps, founder's packs, etc... were all something already in motion. I can count on one hand the number of times PGI has decided to go against their own plans because the community said something.
They don't listen to us. They do what they want to do and if it happens to correspond to what we want, it's a bonus.

What a surprising turn of events.
Roadbeer, never stop your dry trolling.
So often, I open otherwise stupid threads just because I know a post of yours will be in there that'll make me laugh.
Though my coworkers think I'm crazy after spontaneously bursting out in laughter at "GIANT COMIC SANS", and chuckling about it for the rest of the day.

Except that no one was complaining about the treb, or the ctf, or even the AC40 jager.
No one would be complaining about the HGN if pop tarting wasn't so imbalanced and without drawbacks.

Yup.
What did you use back in MWLL against poptarters? I used a Warthog if I didn't feel like being cheap and Narcing them from a Raven.
