I know some people fall in love with a mech and stick with it for all time alleviating the need for money or XP but isn't combat the fun part? I'd like to believe this there is more to it than rule-sanctioned griefing... but what is the attraction of a shotless cap?

I'd like to see slower capping on the large maps (assault mode only). I've seen double ECM lights abandon their team and do a run around cap before even a fast light could get back from just in the next hollow (perhaps 3000m away)

Umm, where the hell did they say taht? Sounds like you had a dream, woke up and throught it was real...

Tanks are going to be in the game, but only as NPCs, called in via a consumable module, like the current airstrike and artillery strike. Instead of calling in aerotech bombing runs, you call in a para-drop of tanks or troops down on a spot. Tanks were first mentioned in PCGamer December, 2012, and last mentioned by Bryan Ekman, VP and Creative Director of Piranha Games, less then a month ago, on Feb 23 2013, in "Ask the Devs #34". You can also hear about tanks in some of the PAX interviews.

Battlefield Assets:
Q: Any chance of non-mech vehicles in the (far) future? aircraft, tanks, powersuits, infantry?
A: Yes, but not as a pilot. Players will only ever be able to pilot a BattleMech.

Q: You made mention at one time about the ability to call in artillery support and/or air strikes. At any point can we see players piloting Tanks or Vtols?
A: No. Player will only be able to pilot BattleMechs.

*see enemy pop-tart firing line location*

*drop consumable Demolisher behind them*

*laugh maniacally*

Interesting implementation. Hard to figure what tanks they could use for this without it becoming a pretty ludicrous consumable. There are some tanks in CBT that can seriously FSU.

I just want a module that contains "autocannon gnomes" that have little pointy hats and will crawl out to unjam my ultras. They'd have 1 hp each.

Look around you
There are many things to see
That some would say
Could never be*

These things I know
It's true and I will tell you so
They are there to see
If you believe

Trolls and Boaters and ECM
Birds that talk and knock down Devs
And if your heart is true
Then you will find them too

In every wish and dream and happy home
You will find the kingdom of The Gnomes

*Don't think I missed an opportunity to reference the introduction of coolant flushes. I just chose not to.

I support this. Make it MC only, bam, something that isn't P2W but is definitely worth buying. At 20mc a pop, it guarantees you advanced base warning.
