With large maps and host state rewind on ballistic weapons sniper mechs are becoming dominant on the battlefield. Unless we want brawlers to become extinct in high level play they’ll need the option to create their own cover, 300sq meters at a time.
Does no damage
Uses a module slot
150meter radius
Thermal vision can see through the smoke
5 seconds after calling for a strike 12 shells land and release smoke for 40 seconds
30 second global cooldown separate from arty/airstrike cooldown
15,000 cbills
As some of you may have noticed a new smokescreen can be deployed 5 seconds before the previous one expires. A team with effective communication can advance under a continuous smokescreen if they equip multiple modules.

I voted Yes, but a 300m diameter would be ridiculous. What are you trying to hide from again, the entirety of Clan Wolf?

Greetings all,
As a note there are various types of "smoke" being applied now. (IRL)
So there may even be an "upgrade" to the smoke, call it a add on module to go to multi grade.
1. Normal smoke that only effects standard vision modes. [thermal can see through]
2. Multispectral smoke - effects even thermal vision as it contains small amounts of metal within the smoke. [can not see through]
Not mentioned in the "canon" but in the 70's (game design time) it was not invented yet.
All for now,

Support the implementation of a wpn which trajectory is completely different from what PGI has implemented so far and which will be the most whined about weapon in the game?
Or, support the implementation of a simple modification to an existing functionality that will definitely change the way MWO is played.
Tough decision...
