Hopefully there will be a fix forthcoming, though I don't think itll occur until tuesday at the earliest unless its a simple server side crash or bug.

On the scale of unplayable, i would rate this one as far less playable than any combination of hud, map, minimap, yellow screen, bugs.

I began to experience the issue when I logged on at 6:30pm CST. The last time I had played was approximately 11pm 4-18-13 (last night) and I had absolutely 0 problems.

Description of issue:
Extreme delay in chat text
Laser and Ballistics respond immediately
Missiles fire after much delay
Vision toggles make audio triggers, but do not change until a big delay
Zooming does not take effect until 5-10 seconds or better if at all.
I seem to be viewing the battlefield in real time but no one responds to my location and cannot capture any points

it sounds like the game is doing the host state rewind in reverse.....

Though I am as guilty of engaging in the side track topics as any of you, lets try and keep the rest on topic about the issue, and start another topic to discuss the consiracy... :D

Even though I still believe it's most likely an accident, who would they even be trying to target anyways? They can't be targeting premaders, because I've been pugging and they once said that more people premade than pug. It can't be freeloaders, because you and other people in this thread are founders/payers (I'm a freeloader myself). If they want people to spend more, how are the people experiencing this going to make the mental connection between spending more and ceasing to experience the desyncing? It would most likely have the polar opposite effect.

As mentioned before, it's an option they've made available to themselves, only it's broken.

I can find no other explanation that could be a server side issue, and yet only affects a CONSISTANT PORTION of the playerbase and not EVERYONE.

If they do not fix this until Tuesday I will be every unhappy. This is something they did to the code somehow. Bad foo foo to leave your players in a state of flux for 4 days. If it was just a few I would say sure work on it tomorrow but as you can see its not.

I almost think it wasnt a code issue as much as a hardware/software failure related to the spike of activity surrounding the start of the tourney.

how many of us are in texas? (trying to refute the idea that its a geographical issue)

I am in DFW, as is hood.

Just because we are the ones talking about it does not mean its not affecting more people. Im sure there are people that just logged of and did not check or say anything on the boards, then there are ones that just have not logged in at all yet.
I'm willing to bet this is effecting more than we know.

Not sure if serious....

Its most likely a server side issue that will be eventually fixed, no reason to start wearing tin foil hats everyone.
