I'm not really a fan of the early IS omnimechs, but the Blackhawk takes it.

Then again, I'm not a huge fan of most omnis...odd.

Chose Raptor (Raptor II to be specific) one of the nicest looking 'Mechs ever. Even if it was designed for 'MechAssault.

I didn't think the original Clan Black Hawk was for real when I first saw its record sheets. "Wow, the game designers actually endorse this kind of rat-bastardry?" Having the -KU only completed the picture for me, though I will also agree with others in this thread that the Komodo does the laser-spam thing better, with additional C3 networking to boot.

Owens, but these pictures of Dodge are pretty epic - looks like Blackhawk's little brother. Or Supernova's kid :)

What pictures of the dodge?
If anything the dodge is non-canon.
And the pictures I linked are of the BHKU-O Black Hawk-KU and of the KIM-2 Komodo.

For those to young to know, the Dodge omni was a compact cars from the 1980s. The OP put it in as a joke. I almost voted for it but I love the blackjack.

Freaking all of them.

IS Omni's are the hottest mechs in Battletech. Black Hawk-KU is the best looking mech, Avatar next in line. Sunder is a ferocious mech with little or no glaring flaws.

Out of this list I would have to say the Avatar, with the Blackhawk right behind it. Bear in mind that my experience with battletech comes from the PC sims rather than the table top boardgame. The Avatar just allows soooo many different ways to ruin someone's day in both MW3 and Mektek's MW4 version. That being said I was a huge fan of the Clan Blackhawk/Nova in the MW3 series and can see the IS version being fun because of that.

I will say this, though. When MW 4 released the Omni version of the Black Knight I never had a bigger grin on my face....Except when Mektek put the old Marauder back into play.

For me, the Black Jack. I loved how they turned a regular Mech into an OmniMech version.

Of the listed Omni's
Blackjack and Firestarter, both have good pod opptions and fill there roles well.

My all time picks

Templar : deadly beauty
Comstar's Battle Cobra: She may have started as a copy of the CSV omni , but her later configs are awesome.

Black Hawk, but uh I don't think the Firestarter is a Omnimech..It's Star league era isn't it?

Ah, okay, there are two versions of the Firestarter. The more you know...

Firestarter O has got to be one of my favorites.

Now... I'll just be as straightforward as possible with this:

Prime is garbage
A is bad
C and G are lackluster at best
E is Mediocre
D and F are Pretty darn good

but B is beyond godly. It's a perfect backstabbing unit, has C3 networking for the rest of the lance, is quite well armored, pulse-laser focused so that you can shoot targets reasonably well while using jumping movement, TAG to mark artillery targets..

The only waste of space are the two hardwired flamers, but even those make great back-up against TSM using units and/or infantry attacks.

The Black Hawk KU is really good, I'll admit, but the FS9-0B was clearly not getting enough love, here.
