I am having a problem with my MWO with it constantly crashing. It sometimes crashes on the preload screen while you wait for players to connect and also when I am booting the mech at the start of the match, rarely it also crashes at the end of game screen and sometimes in game. The mech is a CFT-3D that I drive and but it also happened with the trial Ceturion when I was in Testing Grounds. I am not running any Overclocks on the Video card or the CPU. I also would like to know why I also crash when SLI is enabled even more so with my 670's. Because I am basicly wasting a 670 that I bought. I am running it on Medium settings at 1920x1080 in Fullscreen Windowed. on a fresh install of Windows 7 and retried installing the game multiple times

Rest of computer specs are as followed:

i7 3770k at stock w/ H100 in Push Pull Config

16GB of 1600Mhz RAM

x2 GTX 670's at stock (Only running one and not in SLI)

1200w Platinum PSU

Starting off by disabling SLI is a good start, since the lack of support will cause it to degrade, rather than enhance performance.

How does other intensive software behave? How does 3DMark, Unigine Heaven, Furmark, etc, behave? I'm just trying to rule out something like a dud PSU.

To cover another obvious base, are you running the latest Nvidia drivers? Up until the absolute latest release, there was a string of dud drivers, and if you look back over the last 5-10 pages, Nvidia-specific issues greatly outnumber AMD-specific issues right now (so again, this is just a bad batch of Nvidia drivers).

Once we've gotten some of that covered, we can look at more exotic fixes.

All other programs such as BF3 and Prime 95 among others and I already have SLI Disabled, I just stated I have 2 cards for helping sake to see if it is the 2nd card just being installed and not in use. Latest WQHL Dirvers (314.22 WQHL) Also my PSU is a Coursair AX1200i Platinum so I hope thats not it

Weird, a D-DC Atlas I bought earlier today has yet to crash my game, after 5 games of Assault 3 of which on Caustic Valley. Maybe its something to do with certain mechs?

That would imply a problem with the game files, and yet, you've said you've done clean reinstalls, yes?

I hate to say it, but you might just be getting a few lucky drops. If not, though, and one mech is mysteriously able to be played with the game staying stable, that would narrow down the problem enormously. Keep it up and see if you can get frequent crashing with the atlas (obviously the game crashes occasionally on its own one way or the other)

Also keep in mind, there are some issues with this version of MWO; my understanding is that fixes are coming for several bugs in the next patch.

Hi, having similar problem with CTD but not been able to fathom a reason.
So far gfx drivers clean instal x3, game instal x2 (tried a different ssd, just incase) have been onto devs as also getting "session was lost" disconnects.
my rig is a mix: amd x6 1100t@4.2 under waterbespoke loop, 2x 670 kfa oc 16 gig cors vengance 1866, ocz 1000w psu all in a ATCS 840 case monitor is 2560 x1440 hazro 27" . If i have any joy or epiphanys i'll post back. Atleast it's not just me :)

As I said, see where things stand after the next patch; this last one introduced a whole slew of bugs that will hopefully be addressed. Try a third mech, too; see if it's just something weird with the 3D

You can also try the grain removal fix; that's been claimed to alleviate bugs by quite a few people. I have it, but couldn't tell you for certain, because MWO is so buggy since the last patch, that it's hard to even tell when you have "fewer" bugs (crashing twice an hour instead of six times an hour is still crashing twice an hour :D)

Had 5 ctr alt del today. Have latest driver for 4gb gtx 680. Has been a ongoing problem since feb 5th this year . No specific mech or map. Alt / tab if done fast enough can get you back in the game. Hopefully it will be resolved when they go dx11, but admit it is frustrating. Hey, last patch for me made the game completely unplayable until hot fix came. If new try low / med graphics , low blur motion and enable v sync. Hope this helps a bit.

Since I got GTX 660 this Game crashs alot before i can login, and i mean hardcrash reboot, i dont change my settings, sometime it work and most time it dont. No Problems with any other Game.

If you look inside the Engine.Pak File\config\gpu\nvidia.txt you see no GTX 6xx Card at all, this should be fixed.

I get this ERROR: Current display mode is 1920x1080x32, (Unknown graphics card)
And I get "[Error] NVAPI: Unable to get SLI state (-113)" always i think.

And this FIles are missing:
[Error] locomotion-group not found: animations/mechs/jagermech/lmg_files/flight_fs_1.lmg
[Error] locomotion-group not found: animations/mechs/jagermech/lmg_files/flight_take_off_ltf.lmg
[Error] locomotion-group not found: animations/mechs/jagermech/lmg_files/flight_fs_1_fp.lmg
[Error] locomotion-group not found: animations/mechs/jagermech/lmg_files/flight_take_off_ltf_fp.lmg

So why dont fix this DEVS? It dont get better if you collect Errors, and Beta testing dont make any sense if you dont listen to us. Adding DX11 would be nice too.

I honestly think it has something to do with certain Mechs, No crashes today in my Atlas D-DC (About 20 Drops) or in my Raven 3L (About 5 Drops), But the first game I launched in my Cataphract 3D I crashed. Dont know

I'm using a GTX 560 Ti fermi SC with arctic cooling Twin Turbo cooler, running current drivers and have never had a game crash of any sort. Glitches in the HUD, yes, but never a crash to desktop or cause to reboot.

system: FX-4100 OC'd to 4.0 GHz (liquid cooled), 16 GB RAM, ASUS M5A97 mobo.

No crashes either.
FX-8350
GTX 670
16G g-skill 1866
650W

The game is currently CPU heavy.

You might have a RAM or CPU issue, instead of a video card issue.

It seems to work now, I set "Power Throttle" to "SET_POWER_THROTTLE_FOR_PCIe_COMPILIANCE_ON" within the Nvidia Driver Profile. Maybe my PSU cant handle a heavy load spike before login, 550W PSU should be okay but its not stable without this setting, PSU is about 4 Years old.

I use "Nvidia Inspector" to edit the Profile, maybe it helps with SLI too.

60FPS v-sync 720P, GPU Temp is about 50-55c, CPU about 55-60c max, with low Effects and high Textures.

Really a i7 3770k and 16GB of 1600 Mhz RAM isnt strong enough for this game? How poorly optimized is this game? :(

CPU speed is not the problem with i7 2700K or 3770K, with DX11 new Systems would be more stable I think.

You try the "Power Throttle" Setting? You could try to lower "Power and Temperature Target" with Nvidia Inspector, just to see if it gets more stable.

I didn't say it wasn't strong enough.

I said there might be an issue with the CPU or RAM. Bad RAM will crash the system quickly and hard. Try removing 1 GPU and see if it crashes. Replace it with the other one and try.
Remove half of your RAM and try.

If you want to test your videocard, use memtestcl.
http://folding.stanf...h/DownloadUtils

Run it from command prompt, and set the RAM to close to your total. Do 400 or more runs and look for errors.

If in doubt, benchmark. I'd test 3D Mark as well. Firestrike tends to crash if you push the system to hard.

My pc rig is i5 2500K + 2x Gtx660. Not as strong as yours but was able to run at very high with 60+ fps. Two paches ago, crashes started to happen. I set it up to high details, checked v-sync and I'm stable. Mini map bugs will happen but crashes are extemely rare.
