I'd go for separate clients... but same game.

It'd help keep a sense of separate perspectives. Just think - you'd load up a client to operate clan tech or a client to operate inner sphere - no confusion and a chance to release more products.

Not to mention twice the code for PGI to bork. Far too much trouble over mere vat scum.

Didn't say he was right, or that you are... just said that you came at it with both barrels, rather than plea your case as to why casuals should have an equal opportunity at Clan tech.

To which, I suggested decaf. There are a lot of brands on the market that are just as tasty as the real thing.

Casuals should have an equal opportunity at clan tech. There's nothing to plea. PGI wont be successful if they ostracize a huge portion of their player base.

Also make Clan Tech rediculously expensive. Like a Cougar would be 8mil, a Loki 11mil, a Timberwolf 16mil, and a Daishi 21mil.

Hmm...if that qualifies as "ridiculously expensive" for you, you probably don't want to know how much Clan omnimechs actually cost...

Fears are unfounded. It's an F2P game. I direct your attention to Mech purchases, GXP, and Consumables. If you're working and don't have time to grind then you do have money. Money will always be able to shortcut grinding to a greater or lesser extent in this game. Clan mechs will be no different.

Have clans only able to buy and use the standard configs from the tech readouts. No free customisation like IS mechs
MM will have to also be revamped to take into account the better weapons - currently daishi is no better than an atlas for matchmaking

Actually, the Timberwolf is 100% finished and being used in internal testing. It has been that way for quite some time.

If you had it your way, no one that plays less than five hours a week would ever make it in this game. All of your suggestions, on EVERYTHING, just cater to hardcore players.

Not true. Even then, aren't you the one that said, not 2 months ago: "This game is dying! It won't be around in 6 months because PGI won't listen to hardcore players!" ... That's pretty hardcore.

So people who love Battletech prodominately for the clans should be exiled from playing them because they work two full time jobs? Makes sense to me.

Incidentally, it wouldn't exile them from playing the Clans. GXP can be earned with time, or converted with MC.

If you're working 2 full time jobs, it sounds like you have some disposable income.

PGI capitalizes on allure of Clans without making them Pay 2 Win, and you get some of that financial burden off of your shoulders. Sound's like Win/Win to me.
