River city itself is a terrible map let alone the night 1, pgi and there horrible designs making teams go either left or right and possibly missing each other. Sigh im sure most of the guys that want it out is because they can't play BLUEWARIOR online anymore with their snipers on river city night...

I the long run It would cause more trouble than it's worth. It truly sounds like fun to play only the maps that you like with builds you make for them, but at the same time it will provide yet another incentive to min-max-boat-tart their mechs.

It is still fun to play slower brawler on Alpine, because other team can also have few of these, mixed with snipers, lrm boats and scouts. If devs give players option to choose the maps - half of them will become hells filled with poptarters.

How fun is that?


it sems to be a hell of a lot of fun in all the other FPS that i play... and it doesnt break the game.

give players a choice. currently its just send a mech into the wild unknown and pray for a map you like (and a working mini map or pray it doesnt crash to mech lab like its doing 60% of the time for some reason). Why not... after launch have 1 minute to prep a mech whilst the game loads. snow camo for snow maps...brawlers for close maps. Not...ok i will pick a grey scheme to help with all but master of none.

To be honest i prefer a balanced build of a couple of LLs, some MLs and 3 SR6s with artemis for all maps.

Only map where you can use night vision. Why it should be removed? I like it. It's beta and map filtering may come along with the lobby or something..
What kind of mechwarrior chooses fights? We fight where we are sent to fight.

No body you know likes it, there for everyone hates it. I like your logic, it means I should have a race car in my drive way and a taco bell next door.

Seriously though, get over yourself. Its a good map, and the only map that makes good use of both night vision and heat vision.

keep it, its a great map, and a easier way than using night vision is to turn off your cockpit lights using the "." key.

It's a horrible map and I groan out load whenever I see it load.

I fail to understand what it adds to the game over normal river city beyond forcing you to use an alternative mode of vision.
