As the system stands right now. . . there's very little reason for me to pay money to convert regular XP to GXP.
I still have to buy mechs I don't want to play, and that takes credits.
If I were allowed to skip these mechs by being able to spend GXP on mechs I don't own. . . I would happily pay to convert xp.
I just spent $30 today converting xp on WOT. . . a drop in the bucket compared to the hundreds I've spent doing that in the past.
Your system, instead of encouraging me to drive different mechs. . . just encourages me to seek other games to play and spend money on until new MWO content comes out that I willing to invest the time to grind.
If, as a customer with disposable income, I am unable to spend that money to skip parts of the game I do not like (grinding)... then I will simply find other games that allow me to do that. My time is more valuable to me than my money, and you're demanding the more valuable commodity from me.
However. . . driving away your 'able and willing to pay' customer base is not going to help your game survive and grow.

How To Get More Xp Conversion Income

You COULD buy those mechs with MC, level them with converted GXP, and sell them for C-bills, thus skipping the "grind" altogether. I do not buy your argument.

That is true. But when you look at the cost of doing that. . . then you start crossing the threshhold of how much money I am willing to invest in the game vs. how much payoff I get in terms of enjoyment.
That, is a different threshhold for every player. . . but I should be their bread-and-butter client since I have money to spend and a willingness to do it. . . and instead they are driving me to competing games.
Same goes for the color prices. Willing to pay for them. Not willing to pay the price they are asking.
So, no skin off my nose if they don't change their approach. I have no shortage of places to spend money. . . but if they want me to spend it with them instead of somebody else, they'll need to make some adjustments.
In other words. . . the current set up is making me a "free to play" player of their game. . . while I am happy to be a "pay to play" player on other games. That is a problem.
I'm like the "girlfriend" that will let them take me out to dinner, buy me drinks and gifts, and show me a nice time. . . but will never put out. . . all the while sleeping with their scumbag best friend. And they have only themselves to blame for my behavior.
