Remove Alpha Strike?

I have no problems with convergence, though it annoys me that torso weapons converge simply because weapons can aim at a point when they are clearly in fixed housings, arms should always converge.
All I reckon that should happen is the heat cap increase with each heat sink should be reduced, a solid heat cap swings the balance of ability clearly into the lighter mechs camps, there has to be a sweet spot somewhere to allow skilled players to do decent damage, and at the same time curb ridiculous builds which simply make the game less fun.

Uh... yeah?
Min-Maxing is a natural part of any game. Removing Alpha Strikes won't help that.
I would consider it a fallacy to assume that just because you can't get rid of min/maxing, that certain examples of min/maxing are not more problematic then others. The min/max "ceiling" can matter a lot, and the game should work well even if everyone is min/maxed.
Would this game work well if everyone was able to min/max for 120 damage alphas (instant-shooting most mechs?). No, it would not, because then you're just playing a first person shooter and the mech feel is gone.
The goal of a good game designer should be that the game can be the most fun if everyone is min/maxing. The design should support and augment the type of gameplay you want and hinder the gameplay you don't want from the game.

Though I agree with Willie... AN Energy boat Like the 6PPC Stalker has very little to "hamper" it. Since we are in a system that is point and click would the DEVs have to make the crosshairs sway to simulate the effect of heat? I'm not disagreeing just wondering how to implement.

Having too high heat in the TT lead to penalties.
There should be no reason why some of the penalties
can't be implemented or some made up like:
1) Moving slower once a heat threshold is reached.
2) HUD could flicker as components try to cool.
3) Ammo could cook off if it gets too hot.
4) An energy weapon could explode or cease to function.
5) The screen could slowly start going black to simulate the pilot
loosing consciousness from the extreme heat buildup inside the mech.
There are many ways of implementing this.
All it needs is a bit of creativity.

thats the only real Point for the Gamebalancing ...not all the Nerf/Buff weapons , and "make my own Playstyle better Cry" & "take away the Pinpoint ,i will longer alive" ... 6 mechs with focus fire kill with bad Convergence and only 2 PPc a medium with two volleys, no matter where they hit him
