Would be awesome to see one of the tv screens in my trebuchet to show live pictures from the tip of a travelling LRM missile.

similar to how the game total air war cockpit let us see a live camera from our missile as it zoomed into a target. Would also give the pilot a confirmation on whether the missile launch was a successful hit on target or a miss. So we dont end up spending half our ammo smashing into invisible terrain.

at 2:05 minutes..

Yes, it would be nice, but CryEngine does not support this. At least not easily.

Indeed. Advanced Zoom doesn't even work properly yet. Let's stick to trying to fix things like that first.

the cryengine does support it but its a major performance killer.

Total Air war and Grand prix 4. 2 games i know from 2000-2002 had this same problem with thier game engines when they were released.

The cure was to limit the fps in the missile tv screen to just 2-4 fps and run the smaller screen at a reduced resolution and detail. (pixellated) with a lod reduction (50-100m) mirror views inallot of car games rely on this too.

the missile video feed is different from the zoom module because you can reduce game detail aswell as picture smoothness to maintain a playable fps.

the advanced zoom module you mention needs to have a lossless effect on fps, detail and picture quality to be effective something a missile screen isnt required to have.
