King Of The Hill Mode And Other Modes

Guys, I want to attract some of your attention to this game mode, so maybe one day it will be implemented.

We have WoT (world of tanks) with similar game modes except for some:

we do not have a King of the Hill mode (KotHm) and storm-defend modes.

Just imagine, if these mode existed, then it is always clear where to go to meet the enemies.



Each of these game modes allow you to assume or even to be sure that:
- you will ENGAGE THE ENEMY.



No more light mechs messing eachother around somewhere 5-10 minutes from you and suddenly fight is over.
No more 20 minutes march across the map when you reach the enemy base and suddenly noone there (and game is over again).

A good fight is all about new modes, cause present modes might as well add a some sort of achieve "victory without victums".

It will be done once the add Solaris which is arena play.

I see a problem though with king of the hill for MWO. More then likely as soon as a single mech steps into the capture area, it would be pelted. People would wait for an 8 to 5 advantage before going into the capture zone. PGI would probably need to alter the current maps or make new ones... well Tourmaline and Caustic are ok, maybe Forest Colony and River City too. Alpine would be horrible for it, and I cant see Frozen City working too well for it either... but not as bad as it would be for Alpine.

You assume you would have a clear LOS on the cap area.

king of the hill and respawn for non CW play would be quite fun. Pack on as much alpha as possible and go in guns blazing.

It works in WoT and it's fun.
