**(THIS IS PRIMARILY A RECRUITMENT AND INFORMATION POST)**

Beta Galaxy are ready to lay waste to the Inner Sphere..

You would be wise to join with us.

Greetings fellow Mechwarriors,

As predicted, the invading clan factions are being made available to us, and as expected, Clan Smoke Jaguar will be leading the charge into cesspit of violence, blood and pity that is the Inner Sphere.

I myself, and the people under my command have had a history within Beta Galaxy, specifically the 2nd Jaguar Guards, and because of this, this is the part of the clan faction we will be representing. However, there is plenty of space in this cluster for many more warriors, and I would see our ranks swell over the coming months. There are other Jaguar units in game currently, they are, or will be, pursuing the same route as us.

Let me tell you a little something about us...

As an active MWO unit, our roots started back in Mechwarrior 4, like so many more. Through many leagues and many years of competition, our warriors have battered against foe after foe, and have provided us with a consistent set of victories and a solid scoreboard throughout the years.

As the fire of MW4 dwindled, we remained unsated, and we looked elsewhere for the opportunity to take the fight to our enemies. In Cryengine's Mechwarrior : Living Legends we found the opponents we deserved, and shaped the community to provide us with the wars we desired. This carried on for many years, and our forces are known for winning the first leagues established in the game, and performing admirably in the others, as well as hosting some of our own.

This in time, also waned in the face of something else, something greater, and so we turned our attention elsewhere, spending some time competing in Planetside 2, until finally, we rooted ourselves firmly where we belong, as Mechwarriors, in MWO.

What you need to know :

-We are actively currently recruiting, in preparation for 12v12 and the clan invasion.

-We are the most competitively active clan unit to date with a consistent history of activity from Mw4 all the way through to MWO from MWLL, We do not take 'breaks'.

-We use the EST timezone as our home timezone and for server selection.

-We will focus our organized clan activities primarily on the weekends, Saturday and Sunday at 6pm EST

-We currently use mumble for our VOIP.

-New applicants are accepted on a trial basis. When the opportunity is available to us, you will trial for the right to be a warrior, but up until that point is available, you will be awarded every privilege of every other member. The trial period is there so we both get a feel for each other, you get to see if you like us, and vice versa.

-We prefer our members to be 18+

-We provide training and support to those of varying degrees of skill, with the aim of making every applicant a capable Jaguar warrior.

This is my mantra about this unit:

"The 2nd Jaguar Guards are an organised unit of like-minded individuals who aim for the tough fight. We have played organised, no mistakes no mercy competitive gameplay for many years now. Unlike some of the groups that will be playing this game, we aim to challenge ourselves through combat, not through roster management.

As far as I'm concerned, the only time your kicking *** in a Mechwarrior title, is when you're killing every other person that gets in your way, and your doing it on equal, or worse terms. Superior skill, knowledge, and tactical precision are key to defeating your enemies from inside the cockpit of a Battlemech. If you can kill your opponent, and then his friend, you may be complemented for an acceptable performance by your fellow clansmen.

Go hard or go home, there is no 'easy' in clan warfare."

What you get out of being a part of us:

- A fully functioning gaming website that's well maintained and been running for years. We have active forums and chat, and you can often find great banter on the site as well as plenty of interesting content.

- The opportunity to play in community leagues, events, and scrimmages with other teams, with a semi serious focus. We currently compete in both Proxis Planetary and Spherewars as a mercenary unit (this will change one day), and are performing highly in both.

- Access to an absolutely great community of individuals. Honestly, these guys are just awesome, I've been in tonnes of communities in the past, what we have here is really something.

- Support from the clan about pretty much anything. We look out for our own and don't take BS from anyone else. We provide training, help, or support whenever it's needed. If we like you and you want to try and succeed with us, we'll damned well make sure it happens.

As an example of what you can expect from the unit, feel free to step over to our website at http://clansmokejaguar.enjin.com/

If you like videos, come over to YouTube and watch some of our match performances here, as well as a range of other content (such as Savages weird hand videos...)

If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, come and apply for membership on the website, and we'll go from there, or chat to me in PM on these boards right here.

TL:DR Beta Galaxy, 2nd Jag Guards is all over this invasion, what about the rest of you? If you're game, give us a look, we don't disappoint.

As Maus mentioned, we have been active since the days of MW4. This group was founded back in September 2004, and has been gaming constantly ever since. You want a group to game with that will be around consistently? Join up and see what we are all about.

Come play with us, I need more victims ;)

In all seriousness we are a professional team of mature players looking to expand our playerbase with recruits willing to donate their time to the up-and-coming competitive scene in MWO, which includes weekly practices/trials/matches when all matchmaking conduits are available. Until then, we will continue to drop 8-mans and sync drop to facilitate competitive play.

Congrats to our very own MadSavage! He won two of the assault mech categories (Heavy Metal and HGN-733C) and raked in 2500MC.

I have only good things to say about these guys. I used to belong to this group a while back. During that time period I had several military obligations to meet and these guys were always understanding and supportive of that. I was also always afforded time to improve my skills as someone was always willing to take time out and help me with anything I needed help with. I could go on and but I will keep this short (because I do not want to lose your attention). So in closing, they have the sheer numbers to sustain themselves in any organized league play along with the necessary level of skill to remain steadfast against any and all competition.

"Nuff said" ;)

We've just uploaded some more videos from our current campaign activities in the planetary league Spherewars, where we have taken up arms as the more Dezgra than Victor Davion Mercenary organisation, the Waco Rangers. After a tough but successful campaign against the 9th Lyran Regulars, we took over the planet of Pollux, claiming it for the FWL and their Circinus Federation allies.

Here's some video from my favorite round. Props to Korbin for a great lucky shot there

Here's some footage from our game vs Kaos legion in proxis this weekend, which resulted in a victory and a close defeat. Overall great games, and props to Blazing Aces and the 9th for being solid opponents in between our matches (damn missed sync dropping). Warning it does contain some harsh language, as always, and I would like to point out that I do not in fact think, that whoever that Raven pilot was, that he is a huge c**t, haha. I just have a certain way with words at times.

Apologies for the lower quality however, this came directly off MadSavage's new twitch stream.

Enjoy

Clan Smoke Jaguar performs once again, winning top position in Proxis league as Beta Galaxy step forward into the MWO community once more and prove the superiority of our great clan against all competition.

"The award for best Clan goes to Smoke Jaguar Beta Galaxy. A fierce bunch of fighters that was able to be creative under adverse conditions enabled them to bring huge pain on their enemies. Their alliances with the other clans enabled them to attack the factions at will, earning them many kills with their lighter than normal drop decks."

Special thanks to Multitalented for the league, and all our great opponents!
