Poll: What is up with the new forum structure (53 member(s) have cast votes)

Is the new forum just a way to hide (de)cosntructive criticism

  1. Yes, the general forum was my one stop shop for everything MWO (36 votes [67.92%])

    Percentage of vote: 67.92%

  2. No, the new forums allow me to test the boundariesof the forum search (0 votes [0.00%])

    Percentage of vote: 0.00%

  3. No, I prefer it, I know which forum to visit to get all my information (3 votes [5.66%])

    Percentage of vote: 5.66%

  4. I can't find anything, looks like the new general discussion is "Off Topic Discussions" until the board nationalist socialist party invades (14 votes [26.42%])

Yeah this sucks. 50% of my time playing MWO is with GD in the background on refresh... Stop being so anti-community PGI. It's hard enough to make friends in the the poorly integrated game interface; **** it, we might as well turn off all other outlets we might have, right?

The General discussion forum was full of QQ and rants, its not surprising PGI chose to hide it.

Have you noticed that we're only allowed to discuss various aspects of GAMEPLAY now - that is, discussing IGP/PGI development and marketing policies is now out of bounds?

But I don't care much as I'm still not the paying customer and not sure if I'll ever become one.

Yet I think that forum opposition should occupy this subforum instead of going to Offtopic. It's not so taxing to attach a poll for each thread you create, and almost anything you want to post could be passed as "suggestion".

You can't discuss things that barely exist.

Got to admit I hate the change to the forum and over over 19 years of game site visiting this is the only one in memory that has removed the general area.

What the hell am I meant to when bored at work now?

Obviously their plan worked. Unlike my HUD.

GD was removed because it was an unmanageable *********** of trolls and shitstirrers. For every 10 page rational discussion there would be a 10 page complaint on how PGI had "painted the YLW with the Japanese flag" or someone complaining that HUD bugs had given them ******.

Basically shitstirrers would roll from one polemicised debate to the next, resulting in:
A] legitimate debate getting buried
B] an unholy mess being presented to new users

Some aspects of this game suck for sure, but trying to create a veritable portal to ***** via collective forum ranting is just going to cause more aneurysms than game development changes.

No. Game balance is a part of gameplay. But to get to gameplay you must struggle through bugs like crash to desktop/mechlab, no HUD, rainbow triangles LSD trip and so on. Personally I find my client hanging pretty often for a couple of months, and recent patch also introduced HUD and minimap bugs to me, though less often.

We are witnessing why the demise of GD occurred and the PLJ/K-Town earned its first holiday. Oh what a joyous occasion! Now you non-believers know why the GD met its demise. You are the reason why the GD came to an end. Countless, redundant, QQ/meme threads. Redundancy and non-specific threads clogging up on section of the forums and really being the 800 lb gorilla in the forums. You are your own worst enemy even though you like to blame the Glorious Mods for its demise. The tears are delicious and your rage fuels are endless jokes and ridicule. It is almost like the Rapture of threads! Glory and Praise to the Mods for the bountiful feast!
