An option in the players setup to stop the minimap rotating.
Reason.
On the smaller maps (River City, Frozen City, Caustic Valley) that now have fewer grid squares, and these grid squares now covering a larger area it is becoming more difficult for some players to call for assistance from their team mates to a more exact location, or anything that requires a more precise location for that matter.
I have heard a lot of talk about sub dividing the grid squares such as:
1..........2
....C3.....
3..........4
but this isn't very practical when you're facing SE for example and the corners are not in their logical position. For a lot of people having to take the time to think about their orientation means taking extra damage or even having their mech destroyed.
I believe that locking the map itself and having the Field of View rotate, so the player would
a- be able to see immediately on the mini map which corner of the grid square they are in
b- know immediately if they are moving/facing N/S/E/W
Basically make it the same as in the older MW games.
