There's little more you can do to disrespect the players than take away the most popular forum they have and block new access to it.

By removing General Discussion, you state that you don't want an actual community, you don't care if the players speak to one another and anything outside your rigid specifically asked for commentary, you don't want to hear it.

Shame on you, PGI.

TBH there are also totally legitimate reasons for it, GD had just become a pit of vaguely described QQ'ing and insults directed at the DEV's.

lets also not forget the reference to personal threats being recieved via email that was mentioned in a command post update from Bryan.

Sometimes the only way to get things fixed is to improve the quality of information your getting. I hope that is the end game here. YMMV
