Yeah, they nerfed PPCs just to control Stalker boaters, but thats a 25% direct reduction in ERPPC-5D dps. I don't think they could have targeted this varient more directly.
Supposedly they might be nerfing boating with heat management, but I doubt they'll drop the cooldown back afterwards.

It's also annoying because 4s is also the cooldown for disabling the ECM with PPC. That's not a problem for chain firing boaters, but it sure is for lights trying to do electronic warfare.

I fire constantly enough to reach heat threshold on most maps with just one ERPPC and 10 DHS. The cooldown reduction may be a little inconvenient, but I think it's alright. It just means I'll reach the heat threshold slower.

The Spider is back! With less single point alphas and reduced effectiveness of streaks, the Spider is again fun to play for me. I stopped playing it before the nerf to ERPPC regen rate and added BAP as an ECM counter, however, taking my original build, subtracting two JJ's and adding an ML in the arm seems to balance things out nicely and make it more effective against lights (problem has always been getting that last little hit on the CT to kill them). The ERPPC makes holes, and the ML helps exploit them. I think the 5D is by far the most fun mech to pilot so far due to the frenzied nature.
