Good mix of speed, agility, firepower and to boot it spreads damage like a boss. I didn't think I was going to like it, but this little fighter is a damned fun mech. Glad it was added.

Me too, I like blowing off their large legs. More salvage.

3 SRM6s coupled with that speed is extremely fun!

Too true. I learned quickly to nearly max the armor on the legs. They soak up a lot of hits. This can be a good thing though - I've had a quick-draw at 23% 'life' before dying. That's getting your money's worth!

was gonna say I love this mech but it really could use a little more torso twist and agility, feels a little sluggish for a 60 tonner.

Well, it has to have some drawback. I wish I could read more about its stats and hardpoints, but no one has updated the wiki, and even if I had an empty mech bay so I could take a look myself, I can't update the wiki. I don't know my login, and there is no retreival option.

I also like it, but man does this mech need to put down the twinkies, it's got serious thunder thighs. Other than that and it's rediculous height, i don't mind driving it as an honorary fat Cent9-al.

^Its taller than a Stalker. So its basically a 60 ton Assault Mech.

Still loving it even if I'm ending a lot of matches with just 1 leg.

I think it is a sluggish piece of excrement, that is beaten hands down by a hunchback as with a hunchie u can get same speed standard engine similar firepower, and actually feel like you are in a mech not a canal boat chugging away down the waterway.
I was expecting a dynamic moving heavy even the dragon is better than this way more fun.

my 4G feels pretty sluggish. maybe its just that engine size is too heavily tied to mech agility, but overall the quickdraw feels like it could use a little more torso twist :)

4G also has the arm swing quirk, +33% speed

The Stalker is short for an assault. It's volume, and therefore mass, is mostly horizontal not vertical.

I don't understand why so many people seem to think that lighter should mean shorter and heavier should mean taller.

That's not how mass works...

Agreed, although the basic profile is very similar to a Catapult, in width, depth, height ratio, and the Cat is bigger AND has 2 jumbo ears.

The QD seems durable with standard engine and the jjs just add to the fun factor but until they bump the srms up to about 2 damage per missle it seems lacking in the firepower department. I'm currently running 300std,near max armour, 1 LL,3 mediums and 3 ssrms but the heat can really get to you on certain boards.my dragun (flame) runs cooler and seems to deal the damage a lot easier (Gauss,4 mediums and narc) but I have all the efficiencys unlocked on it as well.the QD just takes a whoopin better it seems.they need a hero QD with all ballistics hehe:-) :-)

that picture shows that a 65 ton mech is roughly the same size as the 80 tonner. That is some good evidence against this game's scaling lol..

the stalker needs to be bigger. and the catapult needs to be a bit smaller

honestly looking at that picture, if the catapult stood a bit straighter, or the stalker a little bit crouched, they would look almost the same size.

I am loving the Quickdraw right now. Much more survivable than the CT-heavy Dragon, the jumpjets are perfect for tactical surprises, and the weaponry is decent if you have good aim. It is a great command Mech and good for flanking and quick strikes.

Cool. Now overlay torso on torso. The Stalker has bigger legs, but that is about it. Overlay face to face and the Cat has a wider torso, and the huge ears. I am trying to figure out how to modify opacity to demonstrate without totally masking the other mech like in your example, but am not figuring that gimp feature out just yet.

Regardless, the Stalker has slightly larger legs, and a little bit of a butt. The Catapult appears to match or exceed it in all other dimensions, despite being 20% lighter.

Im currently using a QKD-4G, due to basically being a medium mech with the figure of a highlander its got some serious issues (seriously who keeps making these mechs so ******** fat? Damn lard lovers.) and worst of all its available tonnage is about on par with a blackjack thats had its engine increased to a 225. Its major claim to fame are jump jets and the ability to mount a massive 360 rated engine giving it over 100kph with speed tweak but a 100kph highlander is still damn easy to hit making its intended role (brawling) near suicidal unless you are chasing down mechs smaller then it and even then most of the slug mediums (hunchback/bj/cent) will outgun it and do so on a much lower budget. (Though the jump jets are stupid heavy, trying to go for speed and JJ will utterly wreck your firepower profile or armor rating)

Don't get me wrong, its kind of like the dragon people who really like it are going to either get damn good with it or learn to hang with the pack. The 4G's +33% arm movement speed is pretty nuts iv got a pair of ER ppcs on mine and can quickly target and shoot the fastest of mechs making it a nightmare for lights and putting ppcs on the arms make the quickdraw look like megatron :)

The 4H has enough missile slots to almost be a respectable LRM mech, or can mount 3ssrms till those are nerfed for a good light hunter setup.

5K using more energy slots this ones pretty balanced with its hardpoints spread across the mech evenly this one looks to be the most durable in terms of difficulty to be disarmed with. (And instantly lends itself to a potent 2xLL/4xML build)
