And I bet they are doing it to hide the negative feedback.
Here's a suggestion, fix the dam bugs!! and balance issues and you won't get so many players raging.

They just fixed rubberbanding, and Russ has said that they are working on a HUD fix. The HUD bugs have to do with the interactions of their engines and coding, which is VERY tricky. That they have done so much to fix the netcode bugs makes me happy.
As far as "hiding" negative feedback, all they are doing is spreading it into specific topics instead of one big rage-bomb. I approve of this idea.
Though, as I said, I think they should have left a "General" area. Even though I understand why they did not, as it would obviously be abused.

they did the heatsink sub forum and i could understand that. but then it makes me never visit the heatsink forum at all. now i will have a tougher time "knowing" what is happening.
general discussion is really just the main i go to everyday. sad.
and once a forum dies.. the game is not far from it.. lolz just my imagination.. look at diablo 3..

Oh yeah, they fixed the rubberbanding quite well, except it is still there AND after the hotfix the client stability is so good that the 8-man Tournament matches had to be resceduled due to constant crashes.
But you would've probably seen a couple of threads about this in the "old" layout.

Bring back General discussion. All these sub-forums actually makes everything far less active looking.
People need to rant, it is how some cope, but they still play the game. Take that away and you will have frustrated players that feel they have no "Forum" and way of asking for help.
Looking at the general discussion was a part of my routine. I just don't have the urge to go searching every sub-forum to find where the pulse of the community is and that is all I care about. Sometimes reading general discussion was my only interaction with the game. I guess I will be even less involved now....

We are still reviewing your constructive feedback regarding forum changes, and we will be making changes in the very near future (and throughout the next week) in response to constructive community concerns.*
Please be patient while we review your suggestions; reworking the structure is a process, and we'll be revising the structure in a way that we hope will address the major issues brought to our attention by the community.
I would like to extend a special thank-you to everyone who has voiced their concerns with a positive attitude. We hope that we can all refer to this issue as an example of working with our forum community to maintain an environment that is rich with ideas and constructive dialogue.
In the meantime, please visit our dedicated thread if you would like to discuss these ongoing changes, or you can use this thread to suggest a sub-forum or for general forum suggestions.
*We understand that changes can be frustrating, and we sincerely thank you for your patience. However, spamming us with duplicate threads and insults has delayed our response, as we have had to spend our time sanctioning users and removing content that violates our Code of Conduct. Please remember this when providing your feedback in the future.
