yeah this could be cool, say having two large land masses devided by water, being able to cross the large dam, then you would also need a couple other ways to cross, say a narrow spot for ppl with jump jets and maybe two other bridges.

Mechs work submerged, you can walk trough the water.
Dont know witch weapons working there, heat should not be that problem.
But i think its to much to ask for underwater fighting now ....

Yeah underwater to much at this point but damn it would be fun. Make it an exact copy of Hoover with dam in the middle so you can cross below dam, above the dam (underwater), or try the dam itself! good idea. Got any dam bait?

Sure, but you have to help the NCR defeat Caeser's Legion first.

Helping House, or even going your own way as an Independent was also kinda interesting too.
And as to MWO, I wonder if a huge underground complex could be an element in such a map, with a huge dam spanning maybe 1/4 the map?
So one side could be outside and the other inside. But the routes in and out would need to be rather generous to accommodate Assault mechs. LRMs would be hurt through, depending on how the interiors are setup.

Add the ability for the Dam to be destroyed, and everyone losses/gets washed away and we'll have a really interesting map

So long as it involves one of the longest falls in the game. Imagine the last thoughts of the miscalculating Spider.

Yeah, something like the dam in river city, only bigger. With canyon network sides and forest colony bottom. Lake up top with new mechanics on crossing somewhat deep bodies of water.... Hiding, leaking......

as long as it's at least double the size of River City.
River City I know was the first map, but it's too small now.
