I don't know if it's been notice, but since the new forum layout has arrive, new topics and posts have plummeted. It's killing the forum because it's confusing as to where to put things, and hard to browse.

I suggest bringing General Discussion back.

I would agree, but there has to be some sort of community rating beyond just "liking" so that the QQ posts can hopefully be marked as such. My only real experience with that is reddit, but that gets gamed into groupthink, so IDK

It's not because of GD being gone, the reason there are less threads is because now people can actually find a topic and contribute to one thread rather than make 10 duplicate threads of it. Ok, so maybe that is because GD is gone, but it's not a bad thing

I've seen forums with down votes, eventually it just becomes a lazy form of trolling.

We are still reviewing your constructive feedback regarding forum changes, and we will be making changes in the very near future (and throughout the next week) in response to constructive community concerns.*

Please be patient while we review your suggestions; reworking the structure is a process, and we'll be revising the structure in a way that we hope will address the major issues brought to our attention by the community.

I would like to extend a special thank-you to everyone who has voiced their concerns with a positive attitude. We hope that we can all refer to this issue as an example of working with our forum community to maintain an environment that is rich with ideas and constructive dialogue.

In the meantime, please visit our dedicated thread if you would like to discuss these ongoing changes, or you can use this thread to suggest a sub-forum or for general forum suggestions.

*We understand that changes can be frustrating, and we sincerely thank you for your patience. However, spamming us with duplicate threads and insults has delayed our response, as we have had to spend our time sanctioning users and removing content that violates our Code of Conduct. Please remember this when providing your feedback in the future.
