As I said before hype/Gimick is usually the words that are thrown around when a gamer can't afford something. There was actually a really good conversation about this at GDC a couple years back Jerry Clements from NVIDIA was talking about the irrational hate over 3D vision when it was first made available, it baffled the company so they decided to find out what was it about the product that created such a strong negative opinion, come to find out the price point was out of many gamers range and that was the impetus of the hate.

It's the same way with Razer products, they are expensive and many gamers automatically hate what they can't afford.

You see the same hate with Collectors Editions, Third party swag etc. It's pretty petty if you think about it.

heyyy, look at all these unproven claims! Though the fact that someone's willing to take the word of a marketing guy at GDC at face value really says it all. cheers!*

This looks awesome, but I don't have anywhere to put it. Today Razer announced the Razer Artemis concept controller that comes with a force-feedback joystick, a display console, and an integrated keypad. Granted the whole thing is still a concept, and they haven't shown an actual photo of the MWO peripheral, but if the real thing can stack up to all of the information on the official site this might go down as the luxury gaming item of the year.
The Razer Artemis Concept Controller is a console that features a custom, futuristic design crafted exclusively for MechWarrior Online, inspired by the devastating BattleMechs that dominate the Inner Sphere. This is a concept design we crafted from the ground up, with the sole purpose of putting you directly in the cockpit of your favored hulking behemoth.
You can learn more about the Artemis controller on the official site, but what do you think of it? Would you buy this for a tactical edge, stick with your mouse and keyboard, or just buy this on the sole purpose that it looks so damn cool (in concept)? Let us know in the comments below.

I'm so getting one

That's because you didn't search for what it's called, the Artemis.

MMORPG.com has an Artemis-Pic from E3 it seems:

Seems to me like a monolithic setup...
