ELO should be tracking disconnects and obvious AFK's, and making sure to group those people who are prone to disconnect or walk away from their keyboard before a match starts, together.

I've spent every, and I mean EVERY GOD-F'ING-DAMN match with AT LEAST one member of my team AFK or disco'd.

It's extremely frustrating having to deal with 7v8, 6v8, heck even had a 3v8 because 4 disco'd and one was apparently not at his keyboard.

I don't know how I'm almost always on the team with the disconnects and AFK's while the other team enjoys having all 8 players, but I can't recall a single match out of the hundreds I've played over the last few days where there hasn't been absolute dead weight on my team from disconnected/AFK players.

Either this game is INCREDIBLY unstable, or there's just a larger than expected group of people who cannot run the game reliably, either way, I'm tired of being punished for it by being stuck with these guys. Let ELO track it and start putting these guys all in the same games. I'm sure it'd make for some interesting, occassional 1v1 matches for the two guys who were lucky enough to not be disco'd and who were conscientous enough to stay at their keyboards after clicking LAUNCH.

I feel your pain.with how bug ridden the game is now days, there's not a match that goes by without at least 1 disco/crash/afk.Not to mention it never fails that at least 1-2 people also have hud/map bugs that lower their efficacy. If they decide to stick it out at all instead of just leaving the match.

I understand the HUD bugs, and they are very plentiful.

Here's how I deal with them, without just going AFK or disco'ing providing SOME minor benefit to the rest of the people that dropped with me:
  • Bugged Mini-map - Well just keep in visual contact with your team mates, use the IFF info to help keep you situationally aware.
  • No IFF, but have minimap - Keep in visual contact with your team mates, use mini map to help determine if there's a freind under your target reticules, when in doubt, run away
  • No Hud at all - Stay at base, you can still type to your team that you have zero HUD and can't see any communication. Tell them that you'll guard base and to NOT come towards base after leaving it because you will shoot the crap out of anything that comes towards it.
  • 4 FPS Bug - Again you can tell your team mates what's going on, you can park your butt on your base and face away from the action. If you start getting shot, you know there's an enemy around and just work it so that he's the only mech in front of you and the rest of the map is behind, not easy, I agree, but it's something to slow down the cap.

There is sympathy to be had for sure, but, I run a 4 year old PC, I do not have the best Internet I could buy, I live on the wrong coast of the Continent, and I face the bugs as well but if someone has true game connection issues, don't blame the game, find out what is wrong with your ISP provider. You pay for a service and if it is not stable, then change to another.

I'd vouch for the idea, but do know the problem is a combo of both the game is unstable and people not being able to run the game reliably.

Valid points, however, it's not equally dysfunctional for all users. I know of people who play who very rarely crash to desktop, and rarer still encounter HUD bugs.

The point is, that those who are most likely to suffer from the weaknesses of their, attention span, old/underpowered PC, or their ISP, or the buggy game itself would impact the general community itself if they were to gradually become more isolated amongst their own kind, leaving those that aren't having near the same level of issues to enjoy the game closer to it's full capacity.
