Probably "Freebirth!"

Which is funny because earlier in the video he uses a contraction himself "I'm"

You are exactly right, on both counts. It's "Freebirth!" as a curse, and yes, he incorrectly uses contractions.

Pretty sure it is 'freebirth' (as in, a curse). Also I think it is 'Jag Base' and 'Jag 12' (not 'Jack'), given they are Smoke Jaguars.

And yeah, he said "Jag" as short for Jaguar, also improper. ;-)

How is it improper? Jag 1 is his Radio ID, so Jag Base knows who it is talking to them.

Did anyone else take note of the fact that the Kodiak does not jump?

Kodiak 2
  • Kodiak 2 - A more mobile variant that first saw action during the Combine-Ghost Bear War on Richmond, the Kodiak 2 was an attempt to solve the original's heat problem and increase its mobility by mounting jump jets, enabling it to leap up to one hundred and twenty meters, in place of four medium lasers and one missile launcher.[3][6] BV (1.0) = 2,687[7], BV (2.0) = 2,856[8]

He was calling the Jag Base comms officer a freebirth because he was pissed off that he was not getting reinforcements immediately and the freeborn comms officer told him to hold his position.

If there is one thing I've learned from the intro. It is never mess with a Kodiak.

As awesome as the Kodiak is, it is far from indestructible.

Just do not close to within 3-400m of it and you MIGHT survive! ;-)
I mean, from an aesthetic stand point, the Kodiak is the totem mech of our Clan.

Seyla!

Thats why the Bear is awesome. Jade Falcon paints their mechs neon green, Wolf does red...can see them coming a mile away

Ghost Bear paints them blue or white and then sits in snow for the ambush

Ghist bear wins

i thought it was stravag prounced strevaaaaaaaaaaagggggg!

is it not so? listening to it it could be freebirth but the context of not getting the reinforcments could be that jag 12 is throwing the insult to his commander not to be stubburn, you don't know my situation you pig headed idiot.

The GB-Combine war was in 3062.
Operation Bulldog concluded in 3060.
Clan Jade Wolf ceased to exist in 3058.
So for GBL, the Kodiak erroniously has jump jets.

Do we even need to remember them? I recall they lived only a few weeks

Its important for determining timeline, since they were the main antagonist in GBL. ** or at least "rogue" elements of the Jade Wolves.

I actually played MW2 (31st CC) back in the day where i could not understand a word of what was written in the holoprojector ;) (calling my dad for translations ).. I remember he said something about that "Inner Sphere".. Now i have quite a better grasp on what it means

I did not remember the controls were so horrible when i played it again, both on my old Windows 98 and DosBox.. Now i have both 31stCC and Mercs, but i still have to complete the Wolf Campaign
