I think the trees need a buffing. I like that the trees make great cover from direct line of sight, except for the whole giant red box thingy...

I kinda/sorta feel like trees need to reduce radar/sensor range. I also feel like certain munitions should be twarted by trees.

Ultimately I'd like see from trees:
-knocked over by running into them
-cause damage by running into them akin to running into rocks, building, mechs (not much, since they give way easily)
-blownapart with lazors, ballistics, and missiles
-it'd become cover in the sense that ballistic rounds could be reduced in effectiveness in terms of damage reduction by passing through a tree, straight up stopped if the AC is small or the tree is large, or deflected by the tree
-missiles would straight up detonate within a forest, at least on the first volley

Just imagine later maps with lots of trees. The dynamics would be changed slightly. Trees could offer protection from sensors allowing brawlers to sneak up on snipers (Alpine woes). Could buff the BAP to detect through trees more effectively, making BAP more useful.

Just imagine sniper hill if Alpine had trees all along the slopes leading to the radio tower. Mechs could sneak up on the snipers.

Or being a light mech running from an atlas. You're in a jenner running away, you into a patch of trees, it offers some physical cover as well as concealment from sensors. Allowing you to fade away. Or instead of going into it and hiding, you just avoid taking some damage from hitting trees at 150kph and jump over it to continue running away. But the pursuing atlas loses you not only from direct LOS, but from sensors as well. His ballistics are lessened against you and missiles are negated.

And this brings up something else.

Active and passive radar.
