With the current rage about 6 ppc stalker boats, I got to thinking how have the devs allowed a mech that in pure canon only ever mounted 2 of the things, to develope, to the 6 limbed sniper beast that outranges lrms etc etc just paying lip service to the mech universe to make a shooter game

Does it really matter that they have desided to take no notice of whats been written before to make mech developement easier, and to maximise customisation, would reducing the level of customisation hurt your enjoyment, to bring the mechs closer to the tech manuals.

Are you one of those that is extremely disapointed and feel the openess of the customisation kills the innersphere feeling of piloting that particular mech, and just view this as a stompy robot platform, with limited life span.

Or do you simply not care as long as you can zap someone

I fall into the no group, its a fun game, if I limit the hours I play as I can only take somany arena battles in a day, but a Jenner might as well be a Geoffery mk2 , a Highlander, called a weekender, and the Lyran comonwealth, could just as well pass itself off as The House of Spud

Edited : the poll questions, to make, them, alittle clearer, and yes, ninja edited before, thought I'd get time before the votes arrived or not.

P.s Charles Dickens wrote with very little punctuation, that was put in by others, in modern editions of his work.

I have turned many a mech into another mech. During Closed Beta I made my Jenner into a Panther for instance.

We have a very limited number of chassis to choose from, so I don't have an issue if someone wants to try to make his/her Stalker into a Warhawk.

Did you proofread before posting? You poll makes little sense.

"do you feel like your in a mech or a stompy robot"

...is not a question (without punctuation) that presents yes or no answers.

The Poll is difficult to answer, if I answer Yes, do I mean to say Yes, Mech or yes Stompy Robot and the same if I say No. Can you clarify as in Yes, a Mech or No a Stompy Robot.

P.S. And BB only gets uploaded to Mechs and never Stompy thingies, afaik.
