Not when you gimp the first leg, I actually applaud PGI for limiting kneecap the way they did. I actually mean the SECOND leg. When you kill a mech by taking both legs out, I would love to see the one leg blow off (at the knee,o r hip, where ever) and maybe the other one bend and fail as the mech dies.
Is it a pressing need? No. But that programming has nothing to do with bug hunting and they are getting more and better looking damage effects all the time. Arms and torsos fly off, so why not the when you double leg a mech?

Anyone Else Wanna See A Leg Fly Off?

I love it in BL2 how the loaders crawl towards you when they have no legs left. That'd be the bomb although obviously quite unfair on catas and jenners.

You destroy a leg - it doesn´t blow off visually and shooting at it hits the side torso ...
C'mon.

While I do agree, if that were the case though, taking out 1 leg would destroy most mechs. Only a couple of mechs would actually be able to stay upright after one leg is removed.

The only thing better would be bending down and picking it up and bashing the legged mech in the cockpit with it.
Or the legged mech could pick it up and use it like a crutch. *cackles* I swear, I crack myself up sometimes.
