It's bad and inconsistent, I can tell you that.
The Imperator and Mamba have the same "dual sensor" (marketing language, likely), but has a lift-off unresponsive time for a second or two. Seen this first hand. Tried to fix it, couldn't. Used it on a Razer Exactmat, too, as well as other surfaces.
The Lycosa just plain gave up in a few weeks, and was a common problem. Recall happened, but even the replacements were found defective.
The Tiamat doesn't have a "defective" microphone, but it does sound like utter trash. This should NOT be present in a $180 headset. Razer's other and older headsets had infinitely better microphones.
There's other examples, but they were more on mediocre and expensive rather than absolute unworthy products like the ones I just listed.
But for those buying the Artemis, they better hope this is one of Razer's golden products like the Razer Naga and Deathadder.

Also, why did they wait so long to announce it? It seems that most people who intend to use a joystick have already bought one in great anticipation.

No.
Let's hope this Artemis is more akin to the Razer Naga, Deathadder, or Carcharias (exception on build quality) rather than the Razer Lycosa, Tiamat, Mamba, or Imperator.
The first three products I listed were largely unproblematic and were actually good products. The last four? Garbage.
Let's also hope it's not a Razer Blade or Project Fiona. Unfortunately, it looks more like those products than not. These products are basically on the ridiculous side of Razer. Bold, but also on the touch of insane.
Ive had an imperator for 6 months and lycosa for i dont know how long, and both peripherals are still working fine. I dont know what people do to their mouse and keyboards, but i've never had problems with either of them.

I have a Logitech G940 flight system which I made an under-the-desk hardpoint base to secure the components to. The force feedback is quite strong and it will move around otherwise.
I am pleased to see the devs catering to the sim fans though!

Whats nice, which i havent seen said is that MWO is obviously VERY JS friendly . Which is a V good thing.
I hope they make a good product.

I already own a joystick, though, and while I'd like an extra screen I'd have to see if I could actually use one placed in that position.
If the MWO guys want money from me (especially if they want it now), they should set up a not-60-dollars Founders package that includes lifetime XP boost (even if that's all it has in it)...

If u see the backshot of the photo u will see they are all linked (by the screen support and floor), so i doubt they will be obtainable separately, im afraid

Nothing more than the usual. Like I said, quality control is lacking on Razer's end. Some work, some don't. But you better hope they do rather than they don't. The Lycosa problem was a fairly wide one. Seen here: http://www.techpower...eplacement.html
Note that they took their sweet time to replace them. Some replacements were also found defective.
The imperator problem: http://hardforum.com...d.php?t=1487265
Apparently, the problem has been fixed with firmware, but I'm getting conflicting reports that the firmware doesn't fix anything. I also did it with a friend's Mamba, and that didn't do anything to fix it. Or maybe there isn't a firmware update for the Mamba. Note: There are two mambas, the 2012 edition and the original. The original is the one I am talking about. I know nothing about the 2012 version.
And the Tiamat microphone, well, hear it for yourself:
And yes, I have heard it through mumble itself and noticed immediately that my friend changed his headset. I asked which one it was, and investigated and found that video and similar ones like it. I also have to emphasized this: This is a $180 headset.

But I already have a $300 HOTAS system that is suited to other games besides MWO. So no.

But I would if its affordable (under $200) and I can use it.
