If the pice isn't overly rediculous my answer is a hells yes. A good mouse and keyboard may be a bit better for aiming and what not but the enjoyment I would get from this control setup out ways the handicap it may give me.

If I can slip my iPad in there and somehow use it as the secondary display then MAYBE....

But I'm not sure. Maybe just gimme an app for that and lemme do my thing with the existing HOTAS options that are on the market.

It's bad and inconsistent, I can tell you that.

The Imperator and Mamba have the same "dual sensor" (marketing language, likely), but has a lift-off unresponsive time for a second or two. Seen this first hand. Tried to fix it, couldn't. Used it on a Razer Exactmat, too, as well as other surfaces.

The Lycosa just plain gave up in a few weeks, and was a common problem. Recall happened, but even the replacements were found defective.

The Tiamat doesn't have a "defective" microphone, but it does sound like utter trash. This should NOT be present in a $180 headset. Razer's other and older headsets had infinitely better microphones.

There's other examples, but they were more on mediocre and expensive rather than absolute unworthy products like the ones I just listed.

But for those buying the Artemis, they better hope this is one of Razer's golden products like the Razer Naga and Deathadder.

Thanks for your quick response Lakevren. I did some searching it seems Razer have previously had a problem with their cords going kaputt.
No way i'm buying that stick.
I'll use my trustworthy Logitech Force 3D Pro. It hasn't failed me yet.

I got a spare screen from my old PC anyways so the little screen that comes with the stick is useless to me.
The keypad is easily replaced with the numpad and finally i already got a stick i'm satisfied with.

Sorry PGI, I've already got my set up. Very cool idea though and would be enhanced if the 3 main sections can be separated (maybe connected via usb leads instead of one unit). As it stands, I don't have room on my desk for one.

However, if you guys come up with usb mini screens for the mini-map, damage and weapons, I'd definitely be interested.

So far, it looks like most of us are too broke to buy one, and I am in the same boat. If I was single and kidless, and hadn't been layed off from my good job, then sure, but not now.

It looks really cool, but I've always been crap with joysticks in 'Mech games. Mouse and keyboard has been my preferred method to play for the last 17 or so years.

It is a cool concept, but i like my X52 flight stick. It would be cool though if I could set up my tablet like they have their screen though  even cooler if i could use the touch screen on it to manipulate the map.

No! This kind of marketing stunt has me seriously reconsidering my previous decision to buy the Elite Founders package. If I decide not to buy the Founders package, I'll likely just skip this MW game all together.

Before anyone asks why, I'll tell you. It's because all this hype to promote a product by another company that you just happened to have consulted on says PG is more interested in publicity stunts than putting out a good game. Sure these kinds of stunts draw in a few more players at the beginning, but most of them will be less likely to spend money on the game itself and/or stick around for any length of time. However, a good game would draw in a LOT more over the long haul and keep them around and actually paying for stuff.

No-one in their right mind is going to fork over the kind of money this controller will sell for if the full functionality of it only works with one game.

To put it bluntly, this marketing stunt pretty much shattered my faith in PG.

I highly doubt I'll purchase the Artemis. The reason is that I already have a high-end HOTAS system, so it would be a redundant device. The one thing that I do like, and would be the main reason I'd consider buying one is the monitor.

I used to be a hardcore gamer and if something gives me a gameplay advantage, I have it. This doesn't, you can't aim as good with a joystick as you can with a mouse, so no

1. that is for starwars..
2. that "only feature is a touchpad"... a multi sensor touchpad.. ...that means more than 1 object can be tracked.. multitouch.. and that tech is expensive in anything you put it in..
3. yeah maybe 150 is a lowball for it.. but i dont see it going for 250. but i have been wrong before..lol

It looks like it's just too much stuff. I miss my good old Saitek Cyborg force feedback. It did't have auto centering (ie. a spring) so the stick would stay where you put it. Great for accuracy because you didn't have to constantly fight a spring.

I answered yes, however that yes is dependent upon build quality and pricepoint. The concept looks nice, but I'm not going to get one if the price is too high or if it is a piece of garbage.

I would love to, but my current situation means that I've got to get my peripherals right now, no waiting.

As I've said elsewhere I'll strongly consider it IF, and only if, I can get it w/out the LCD but with tablet support. Otherwise my currently owned hardware will suffice.

My MW control is done with a X52, Pedals from a MS Wheel (Torso twist) and TrackIR. Its just what I'm used to. All of which cost about the same price and give more control. Only thing missing is the seperate screen (but I'm sure someone will work out how to get it working on a second monitor  )
