As Run Hot or Die nears the end of the first season, and moves towards the second season, I am looking to fully upgrade the site until a well designed and fast site for league play. Currently, the web site runs on Joomla, and uses JoomSport for organizing the standings and results. However, this module is not as stable as I would like, and does not have all the features that I would prefer.

Thus, I am looking for a designer and developer to assist me with creating a new web site. This is a non paid job, as I don't get paid for running this league, and I don't currently have the funds to pay somebody to do this.

Features to be added/developed include:

For teams:
Team registration, roster management, match reporting, messaging system for scheduling

For admins:
League administration abilities, including changing results, creating multiple leagues with multiple divisions, adding and removing teams to divisions

Other:
auto-generating results and standings pages

Preferable:
Auto-generating schedule

Examples:
nasl.tv/
afterhoursgaming.tv/
http://www.cevo.com/

If you are interested please PM me here, or send me an email (methosfurey at gmail dot com)

Shoot a PM to Machine, Magician. Machine and myself Admin the Killsecured site, though he deals with all of the technical implementation, and I just do all the busy work. He digs creating Websites, you'll be in good hands if he's up for it.

Any CSS template is configurable to put what you want, where you want.

As to what works, not my website but at a guess i'd say some of it is permission masking based.

Everything is working properly. If you interested in reporting bugs, feel free to PM the issue to Machine. Though, most of the site is sectioned off from the public. It's meant to be bare-bones to outsiders. "Dropship" and "Calender" are Team-Only tools. I appreciate the concern, though.

I was under the impression that the kaos site was also joomla. as for what I mean on your page yeah it does work to an extent but the "slide show" is constantly moving its kind of misleading as it looks like those panels lead to diff areas of the site or have some function when you click them but they don't. Also even if you click on it, they continue to move on to the next panel. Some things are hard to find like the roster you have to mouse over home then its a mini tab. although its not super hard to find this stuff its kind of clunky to use as interface.

By no means slating the site just a observation as a designer myself. I believe crovax might be able to help out with coding on some parts when he is done with ours etc if you need it. while its no secret we opt out of RHOD we are for the community in general and we believe its a good thing. I would of probably joined our team up eventually when we had the numbers. But have been discouraged at the "every" team outside of the league is rubbish and the disrespect of peoples ability as a gamer there are alot of great players out there waiting for some content or something to fight for.

also csr notice how snowraven.net and .de are almost exact xD

hopefully once there is a release, and the meta game is not changing with a hotfix every 2 weeks things like this will give teams options outside of cw depending on how its handled.

Joomla templates are always simliar, they use the same yootheme we do (catalyst), hence the top bar is the same.

The only thing i dislike about Joomla, is that there is a lack of module for centered around gaming and clan needs

It looks like JoomSport will allow me to do what I need to do. I'd love to get the paid version, as it has some useful features, but a perpetual license is ~$180. It's a pretty good app, and next season teams will be able to report their results, and then I just go in and basically confirm it. So it'll be a simpler method. I'm going to get a new template, which hopefully will make things a bit nicer looking. I'm also doing a full reinstall on a new host, which should clean up any issues we were having. Unfortunately, I don't think that Joomla has any good 'brackets' modules, which is why I was tempted to switch to Drupal, since Riot Games uses it and has created a nice Tourney module. Maybe over season 2, I'll work on getting a more unique site that can handle things.

e107 is pretty garbage. the joomla on killsecured.com is only like that because im lazy. i thought the game was gonna die so i stopped developing part way in. im still not convinced its going to thrive and there is literally no reward for hard work in this community. le0yo yeah its joomla but with zero effort for writing articles... lol so yeah the panels link to nothing and i have pausing turned off.

cauuuuuse... i dont care. haha

joomla can look like anything you want and custome code all of it if you so chose. it is a non issue.

e107 is much better than it used to be, and GameBattles is finally in a decent state. We are testing it out. It seems work well enough for our purposes.
