I haven't Elited all my Centurions, but it seems I can already Master the ones I have. I already have Master on the Hunchbacks. Is this always the case? Do you only need to master one chassis to open up master on all the chassis of that weight class?

No, it is only for a specific chasis.

Have to disagree.
I read here unlocking Elite is by specific Chassis, ex. you need 3 Hunchbacks with all Basics to unlock Elite.
Master is by weight class, you need 3 with Elite unlocked to open Master for any Mech in that weight class.

That means if you have 3 Mediums with all Elites no matter what Mediums they are, you can Master a 4th or more.

So on the OPs Centurions, he need 3 with all Basics to open Elite but once he does, he could sell 1 or 2 and get Mastery on what he keeps so long as he has at least 2 other Mediums with all Elites bought with MXP.

The specific unlock is for the variant only.

However, if you have 3 mechs with full elite within the weight class -- of any chassis (but they need to be 3 different variants; owning 3 of the same variant does nothing), you can unlock master for any mech in that class.
