I currently have over 5000 gxp (approximately 6100), and wish to purchase an advanced zoom module proficiency, so that I can purchase it for my current mech. Whenever I select it, the icon for using GXP comes up briefly, before disappearing and becoming impossible to select.

I can't find any mention of any prerequisites to unlock these. It doesn't seem to be tied to a specific mech, so the skill tier of any of my mechs shouldn't affect it.

Part of my GXP is converted from mech XP. Does it not see converted XP as valid for this unlock? Am I unable to buy a module whatsoever, now?

I've searched the forums, and did not find any relevant information. Can someone please explain this to me?

Did you recently convert it? There's a bug that doesn't update the GXP for module purchases until after you drop into a match.

You can exit out of the mech lab (after coverting from XP to GXP) and launch the game again, it will then work correctly.

Confirmed. I just converted Mech XP to General XP and the same problem as OP happened to me, the button showed for a split second then disappeared, not allowing a module unlock. Restarting the client (without going into match) fixed the problem.

I have also noticed this issue. I have about 7000 gxp. When I try to unlock the sensor range module the button to spend gxp is visable for about half a second and then it disappears.

There's a bug whereby, if a module has multiple levels available and you can afford the first level but not the second, then you can't buy either.

Once the bug is fixed (or you have 7500XP) then you will be able to buy level one.

Same thing.
I unlocked Advanced Zoom in December 2012. Accumulated about 5100 GXP since then (native gxp no convertet mxp) have the exact same problem as quotet poster....restarting PC and MW:O doesn't fix this.

This effects all modules....button flashes half a second then vanishes

Same issue here. Have 7000+ GXP, already bought Advance Zoom previously. Now unable to buy even target decay that cost 5000 gxp only

I have had this issue as well - I did not convert to GXP it was earned I wanted to purchase the targeting decay module I click on it the window pops up and for a split second use gxp shows then disappears. I was able to unlock a module about 5-6 patches ago but cannot now.

Yep, I've seen the posts on this bug - you have to have 7500 to buy rank one, but it will only charge you the 5000.

I have 34,250 GXP and can't unlock the advanced zoom.
I go mechlab/modules/vision modules/advanced zoom...and get
this module has not been unlocked yet.

any ideas?

You need to unlock the modules in the pilot tree part of the mechlab before you can purchase the actual modue to install in teh modules section.

If you have already done that, then I can`t help, sorry, but the guys from support@mwomercs.com might be able to
