With all the discussion of heat and how to fix it, Ive decided to add a poll and revive this discussion now that many more players have become more experienced at the game. Devs are starting to take a serious look at popular topics for balance suggestions, and this topic's suggestion should be at the top of the list.


And actually, can a mod move this to Gameplay Balance forum? Doesnt really fit in metagame....

Right... so when are we gonna get this topic moved to the gameplay balance forum? I mean.... it even has the word "balance" in the topic line....

DHS flaw in this game is coupled with tis inherit issue with the heat dissipation rate, not the DHS itself.

Weapons generate heat 2x or more the rate the system was intended to dissipate it; as a result weapons run hot.

Removing DHS would only compound the issue by not being able to dissipate heat faster.


The main issue at had in is the 2 in-engine but only 1.4 out-of-engine rate that screws over the system even further.
