Well the idea is simple a 2nd screen somewhere on you hub that shows what your left or right arm is actually aiming at. For those who played Chromehounds know how effective this can be. Being able to not to expose your whole Mech all the way and still shoot. This can also be use to see if your weapons are going to hit whatever your standing next to or actually hit the target. While not very useful in open terrain it can give you cover more cover shooting over hills if you have high upper mounted weapons. I think it will give the game more tactics to use for mechs that can't duke it out with the big boys an alternative.
Something else I would like to see is mech arms that can be changed from the standard arms hanging like your going to punch someone in the lower gut to over the head so you can shoot over things. They are mechs after all. It may look goofy ,but it can be effective in curtain situations.

The first suggestion isn't a bad one. Though it does add a bit more to the hud, which is currently having its own issues. Probably later down the road.
The second option gets rid of the need for varients as well some uniqueness to each individual mech. They have said that they're working on cosmetic stuff for them, like Atlas skulls and stuff like that. Unless a varient has a completely different arm set-up compared to the base, you won't be getting to switch between the two types.

Its not changing what the arms are just the way the a positioned instead of them being in there standard position they can be changed to a different position so they can shot over things like the crest of a hill. You would shoot over instead of shooting right into the crest like you do now. I don't want that change the arms themselves just give me what they can really do. I dislike limitations on things when I know they can do so much more. For example the hunchback arms just think of them exactly like they are just flipped upside down to shoot over obstacles.
I also agree that the game does have quite a few hub bugs and adding a new feature might complicate things. Though I have a feeling they are most likely not going to do this because they want to keep the game simple for the free to play crowed.
Though he is some footage of chromehounds in you never played it. Shows off the gun camera idea.
