You forgot to remove the missiles, no one uses missiles anymore. /sarcasm

Seriously we do need the visible loadout, I love the idea of seeing what I put on a mech change it visibly.

yeah :/

on a lot of the older mechs. what you have is multiple hard points, but only 1 "visual hardpoint"

so for the 1N which has 2 ballistics hard points but only 1 barrel. whatever you put in there (2x MG for example) will come out of the single barrel.

it would be nice for example we had 2xAC2 in the DRG-1N for it to look like

I read somewhere that they plan on going back to change the older mechs to reflect loadout choices, but it is low on the priority list.

yup. they did go back and adjust the Catapult's ballistic hardpoints to match weapon though. which was really nice.

Visible loadout? would be nice, butI don`t see it as necessary if it takes resources from , well, ANYTHING else. You can generally tell what the enemy has by the incoming fire, and targeting will tell you the rest.

It's a really nice feature on the newer mechs. I'll fall over laughing at the UAC5 spiders though, that gun is bigger than they are!

I suspect it was much easier to do that on the Catapult than it will be on other mechs. Aren't the K2 toobs the same barrels as the Jager uses?

i believe the Gauss one is. and it is also the same on the Highlander.

actually since the only concept art of a gauss barrel was done on the highlander. i believe they finished the highlander before adding a modular gauss barrel to the jagermech and also to the catapult.


but i think its a minimal requirement to at least add "visual hardpoints" to reflect all the actual hardpoints. whether these visual hard points change with the weapon inside or not can come later. but its odd and inconsistant to have 2 ac2s firing out of the same barrel. or to have a small laser and a large laser firing form the same laser mount.

the new models (especially the HGN) have the "modifiably" visuals... PGI stated they will rework the "old" chassis over time, so i guess you will see that... in a while
