I still get the rainbow maps & HUD or no map, empty HUD. Sometimes makes the game more colorful!

The fuzzy is because you're not supposed to be able to see out to the horizon when using the alternate vision modes. It's a "fog of war" thing. Real-life alternate vision modes do similar things -- after a certain distance things just aren't as distinct.

im not talking about distance or f.o.w im talking about every thing having a haze to it even on clear maps
and having to strain my eyes to make out some thing that is less than 400ms away because every thing
is a fuzzy blocky mess

Maybe it's your graphic settings. I run with everything on full and I don't have that issue. Things can get fuzzy at 2000m but that's about it on clear maps. Now caustic for example, is not a "clear" map, it gets hazy after about 1400m. But he alternate vision modes are fine for me too. What settings do you run, and on what card?
