One thing it proves is the match maker is not working as intended. If it was really matching like skilled players, he would not get 10 games that high every day. and I suspect his not even playing to win but to maximize score, then relying on the team to be good enough to pull out the win. course i think most of us already knew this, maybe pgi will take notice...

Last night, I worked 15hrs overtime. Hauled *** home, played 2 hrs to take the medium and gave up heavies for the day. So really, it don't take long to win mediums. That is the easiest bracket to win. You can do it too!. Use your 4p and play peekaboo the whole match! Key is too get to the fight fastest u can and finish the game with your hunch intact. Never let yourself be completely cooled off.

Well, you don't have to twist my arm on MM being borked but I'm not so sure about Koreaneze and his play style. He was on the op team from me last week and just appeared to play really well, and my teamed played like idiots. He keeps his jumpy Phract moving and twists well under fire so it's hard to pin down a torso, and he kept his PPC's blazing. Think he ended the game with 4 kills, 4 assits, and 1000-1100 damage, coupled with the howls from my own 4 man of HACK and AIMBOT, this coming from the 2 that died like pugs ignoring my warnings of us being flanked and shot it out in the open.

Right now med bracket is easiest to win. Its hard being so fragile like 4p. One shot from a sniper means whole lot. So just be careful and keep them lasers Rollin! Remember, speed is more powerful then having 5 large lasers on a tiny frame!

High pin point alpha damage builds are oftentimes not the best for racking high damage scores. You kill stuff too cleanly and efficiently. Want high scores, pack a metric shitton of SRMS and have at it.
The current Meta penalizes you for clean and efficient kills. I often run a dual AC20 Jager and pop heads and rear torsos in 1-2 volleys. But I only am scoring 40-100 damage for that kill.

Also it helps that Koreanese is damn good, and one of the ones I know doesn't cheat.

This to me is a sterling reference. Bishop isn't "affiliated" with Koreanese to my knowledge, so giving a thumbs up means more than Kor's friends supporting him, to me.

No offense intended to your friends or you Kor. :)

I dont know Koreanese or Budor or most of the people that have posted on this and other forums about the tournament and the leaders.

I have not yet seen Kor in a match, but I have seen most of the others in the (medium) bracket. That is the one I prefer. I just play better in a medium (of my choice). I am an old man. I suffer from some damaged nerves and have to take medication to keep my hand and legs from shaking (similar to Parkinson). I know I am not going to be the leader, but I am having fun playing.

As to the other guys, cheating? I dont know and I dont care. Whats the prize? 1/2 days worth of grinding? A cockpit item worth less than 5$ US and the grand deal is roughly 10$ US worth of items and MC? If you have to cheat for that then you got real problems in life.

Maybe guys, just maybe, these guys are actually that good. I am surprised at myself and the numbers I have been posting even with crappy teams (sometimes) or very good ones (sometimes). So I really think that overall, these guys are just good and focused on what they are doing.

I may not agree with the play style (of some), but the tournament scoring is to blame. Break stuff and lots of stuff before killing it. I dont usually play that way, i look for the quick and efficient kill and move to the next target. The tournament scoring want you to rip off arms and legs and weapons and hit lots of mechs. Kills are ok, but they dont get you as much as hitting the TARGETS over and over. Rack up that damage. Kills will come. So the leaders are playing to the scoring method set out in the tournament and their ratings on the boards reflect this.

Anyway you guys, good job and I hope you (all) enjoy the tournament. I am having fun.

Koreanese made short work of me in my Hunch running his Phract-3D. I was laying in wait to ambush him and I jumped the gun too soon.

His timing and accuracy are superb.
He also has a special quality

"Plus ten aura of emo rage - causes other players within ten places of him to rage uncontrollably at their monitors after every loss."

Dunno, but suffice it to say, if I see him or Wispsy on my team, I figure we got it in the bag...... if either of them are on the other team... better buckle up, it's gonna be a bumpy ride!

yes, that is seceret to my game play. it costs about 6000 dollars for the neuro helmet. so pretty much i pay 2 win

Which model is that one? I've used a Kirby Morgan Superlite a couple times (training not in actual work environment) from one of the guys I dove with doing Rescue Diving in NC. Always been kicking in the beck of my head to get into the Tech side. Actually moving to Mexico this month to get my Dive Master on an Internship. After that.... haven't decided what route to take.

He runs with a preform that helps his hunchie get nice scores. He is a skilled/smart player though to boot. IMO he would not have a chance without his squad. The way the current tournaments are setup favor teams to back you up, puggers cant keep up with it like this =)

In the match I played against him scored a couple nice hits when he crested ridge then he didnt come back over until the assaults had trudged through and engaged our team, he then picked targets of opportunity and picked em off, easy breezy. Thats really all you can do in a medium these days but his team certainly allowed him to be successful in the first place.

Id love to see solo only tournaments and team only tournaments, that would bridge the gap for those of us who cant find, dont want, or cant stand being part of a clan. Ive listened to enough people ***** over voicechat to never want to do it again (thanks swgand wow) so thats why I pug.

As far as builds he can run the highest alpha he can since he doesnt have to worry about team makeup, though its likely a min/max thing so go for something with some balance. Goodluck if your involved in this ***********.

Seems odd, since I was under the impression dropping in a preformed disqualified any match you did it from the score? And trying to sync drop is an iffy thing at best.

As for skill... I've seen him back it up. No offense, ain't never seen you about.
