Honorable men would never attack a mead shipment, even the snake DEST.

This must be the work of periphery pirates - no other sort of men would have the rapacity to so cravenly plunder the due earnings of honest 'mercs to satiate their own depravity, or waste it in wanton destruction. The periphery itself hasn't had the misfortune of hosting that level of wanton greed and wholesale destruction since the hated Star League fell - and I'll say again, blessed be old House Amaris, in defiance of those nuke-happy Cameron thieves and usurpers!

5/7: Further investigation of JS MeadShip Express reveals no clues as to the circumstances surrounding its jump, but does manage to salvage several hundred kilos of grade-A honey in "smuggling" lockers.

5/9 According to sources on Trondheim the unknown force that appeared in-system yesterday have contacted the garrison force. Our office received the following copy of a report hot from the CC of the Skjaldborg mercenary unit.

Report filed by Sergeant Tomas Lönngren

09-05-3050 17:42

We have just received a transmission from the up to this point unidentified force that have entered our orbit. The force have identified it self as “Clan Ghost Bear” our database have no information of such a force but it is not unthinkable that it is a pirate force.

Their leader seems to be a monster of a woman by the name of Aletha Kabrinski who call her self a 'Star Captain', whatever that is.

Aletha Kabrinski made it very clear that a invasion would be happening and that we had been issued a “batchall” and going by the content of said issue it is safe to say it is some form of military shorthand for-battle challenge, a bit archaic but then again the backwater tend to be a bit backwards. Trondheim was designated as a target and then the mad woman had the stones to ask us how many troops we would be using to defend the planet and what the terms of the challenge was.

As the ranking officer in the comm-center I made a inquiry about the lost delivery of supplies. Aletha Kabrinski claimed that our ships refused to respond when hailed and thus dishonored themselves. It seems to me that the leader of this force is utterly mad.

I would advice against taking this person serious.

I have attached a copy of the transmission.

Our source have requested to be left anonymous but we can assure that the person is known to provide solid information.

This is Trondheim live, providing you with the best of the news, even in the worst of times.

"Clan Ghost Bear"... "Star Captain"... It seems pretty clear where all of the missing mead went. This Aletha Kabrinski must have had a mighty thirst :)

Monster of a woman, indeed! I just checked and found that Kabrinski is an elemental name. She would be a good Viking size. Too bad we can't answer the batchall by challenging her to a drinking contest...or can we?

5/10: The Skjaldborg, on behalf of the defensive forces of Trondheim, officially responds to Clan Ghost Bear's batchall. Evacuation preparations are made for Misby Flats as all remaining Dropships on-planet prepare to lift for the Zenith JumpPoint.

I'd say that is the only proper answer one can give.

Well, if the 1st RDR is coordinating the defense against these pirates we should be fine. I just wish that all of the RDR and the Skjaldborg were at home....these raiders picked a good time to make a play for our world....
