I'm a bit behind the curve on this one, and technologically illiterate, but how does one modify their FoV in this day and age?

search for one of the user.cfg threads, dl one appropriate for your system and replace the one in your game folder would be the easy fix. Most of them tinker with FOV.

And just be cautious with modifying user.dfg, if you accidentally hit a bad keystroke it can cause bad things to happen.
