As S.atan would say : "You asked fo' it !"

BAP will now negate ECM within 150m (tuning number) of the enemy.
Here

You all know what that means. They're back, the most skilless and lamest mechs of the game : Streak Cats ! You think poptarts are bad ? You thought splat cats were bad ? Nothing beats getting one-clicked autohit to death by a blind deaf monkey with one arm and downs syndrome (i.e every streak cat user).

But hey, that's the price we pay for getting rid of ECM Ravens... which are nowhere as bad as they used to be since the netcode fixes.

Timing PGI... it's all about timing...

Streaks better get blasted into nerf oblivion soon, or this will be the absolute definitive doom of every light to medium brawler.

Its within 150 meters so every light and medium brawler just needs to stay further out than 150. I see no problem with that at all. Its all just a shift in your movement. One more piece to the elegant dance of death we do everyday as a mech pilot.

I didn't ask for it actually.

All I asked for was for PGI to heed to common sense and remove their pet project ECM feature that shuts off weapons, so they roll back all their Big Fish balancing.

Going to quote a friend of mine....

Quote

SRMs were doing close to twice the damage they were supposed to (via the cluster bug), and the cockpit shake is close to gone with streaks, and we've got long distance maps, and we've got long range weapons that actually go where you shoot them...

Let's just say streakboating doesn't scare me all that much.

Pretty much sums it up.

Nice fix for SSRMs, but what about LRMs. Sure if a teammate is running it and in close it seems you will be able to lock. Tag using up energy slots takes away from possible defensive weaponry, and if you are a Cat A1 trying to run LRMs you're screwed. So yes, Streak Cat and Splat Cat seem to be the only viable way to run that chassis in an ECM environment.

Streaks are so damn weak that a StreakCat would only be a minor annoyance, unless you're in a light I guess.

Build a D-DC hunter. 2 PPC and 4 SSRM's with (upcoming) BAP. This might be a good candidate. Raven free as well. :( LOL
