Having used in real life both night and heat vision I know what they should look like. As it stands now the night vision is fine for this game. But heat vision is a joke. Was it perfect before, no. It allowed almost unlimited range to hit those poptarters. The colors were turned up to much which is most of the problem. It is no great task to turn down the heat signature a little also limit the range at which it is effective. What we have now is black and white TV. Whoever came up with that idea should be placed on a glacier for two days with warm clothes and three cases of moose head . Armed forces are going to heat vision in the USA because night vision does extensive damage to the eyes with prolonged use. In this game it was a cool feature. I saw several I would think were rats in the city. now that's awesome. This comes from an old 60s song where have all the flowers gone long time passing. Gone long time ago. Just because the Canadian army cant afford it should not mean we have to suffer. How do you think they hunt rogue wolf's? HMM?

Almost every thermal vision video I've seen from guncams are this form of white/dark hot, not color gradients. Sure, I'm not actual military with real experience, but it looks right to me. If you're really just complaining about the fact that you can no longer snipe with it, that's balancing, deal with it.

As a firefighter I can tell you that this is fairly accurate in terms of what we use for our TIC cams (Thermal Imaging Cam). Not "exact" but damn close enough for me.

I am former army and have never used anything but white hot for thermal vision. OP, Night vision and Thermal vision are used for completely different reasons and aspects. Please don't come on these forums acting like you know something about a topic you clearly know nothing about. Enjoy "your" glacier.

Given the veil that comes down on therms after about 500m in this game, I don't think it would kill them to bump up the contrast just a touch to make it a little more useful.

the point is so those poptarters can't just change vision modes and ignore sensors to find you.........

what you want benefits them more, and defeats the change in the 1st place ;)
