Beta Founders-Pack Reset And Stuff
#1

As you can see, I bought a founders package some months ago. Actually, it happened pretty early, cuz I thought it would be great to help you guys, getting this game on and stuff, since I was really looking forward to that. For a while, everything went pretty well and then, there came the time, when those LRM gunboats where just devasting imbalanced and I quitted for a while.
All of that happened in a period, when you reseted the MC and Premium Time like every two weeks or sth. I didn't look back to the game, because I thought "ye well, they won't change that so quick, maybe not till the release, so who cares? I'll get back, when the game is 'more finished'".
Well, now I am back, don't have any MC or Premium Time left, even though the game is still not released but in Beta, and my invested real money is gone for ****.
What do I want now, you ask? I want to know, why there was no single small hint on the game or via email, that there is no reset for the MC and Premium Time coming anymore? It feels like a slap in the face of someone, who believed in that game and the production studio to make the investment worth it. And I feel like a fool now, standing there with my useless founder-mechs without any MC and Bills to spend. Just ridiculous...

They announced that this change was happening. None of it was automatic.

It was clearly stated then that this would be the last MC, C-Bill, and XP reset (a stats reset is supposedly coming when they bring in acheivements as part of community warfare, I think).
There was a firestorm about Premium Time being started automatically, so they rolled that back, and we were all given an option to start our premium time at a time of our choosing.

- This was the FINAL wipe. No more resets.
- Any MC you purchase or spend, will be final. There will no longer be MC resets so what you spend is gone forever.
Sorry, Yakeru. You're going to have to just accept responsibility for this one. If you still feel cheated, contact: support@mwomercs.com and bring your plea to them.
YOUR FOUNDER'S MECHS AREN'T USELESS
My favorites are my Jenner and Catapult.
Jenner:
Double Heat Sinks(13), Endo, Ferro.
(x4) Medium Lasers
(x2) SRM4 (2 tons ammo)
260 XL Engine
238 Armor
Notes: Solid build. You can change out the SRM's for Streaks and put BAP on if you are having a hard time with getting chased by lights and aiming the SRM4's. (BAP gains ECM countering abilities May 21st)
Catapult:
Double Heat Sinks(18), Ferro.
(x2) ERPPC
(x2) Med Laser
(x2) S-SRM2 (1 ton ammo)
(x1) Jumpjet (Optional. Can be replaced with SRM Ammo)
315 XL Engine
412 Armor
Notes: Runs warm if you use your PPC's often so I mostly utilize those for long range. Up close I'm mostly using Med Lasers, and Streaks help fend off lights. I try my best to keep myself disengaged so I can use my PPC's more. On colder maps I use my PPC's in close-range since heat is a little more manageable.

2) A button was implemented to allow you to activate your premium time ... if you pressed it then you used it ... if not then you still have it.
3) If you do not have any MC left then you should still have whatever you spent it on ... unless it was more premium time .. in which case you should have whatever Cbills you earned with it.
4) If you spent your MC on mechs then you should have many more than your Founder's mechs.
5) If you are not satisfied then send a note to support and see if they can sort it out ... however, IF you spent your MC after open beta started and IF you used the button to start your premium time after open beta started (End of August 2012) ... then unfortunately you are out of luck because the developer made it extremely clear in multiple postings that there would be no further resets or reimbursements after the start of open beta.

I can't believe you were actually taking the time to recollect all the information that was given out. If there's anything PGI didn't do, it was leaving us in the dark about our purchases.
To paraphrase: Your fault, kind Sir Yakeru.

lol. The time? It was about 5 minutes of doing a google search "mwo open beta reset final" and "beta founders mwo"
open a bunch of links. Find the official ones, scan though and pick out the points, voila. The rest was just editing.
But yeah, they definitely told us.

I quitted playing because there was no fun at that point anymore, for a while, when all my stuff was spent (obviously). I agree, that it is my fault for not caring for the game in the wrong moment, because of some balance issues, and it was my decision to not care, or read, or anything, but I just didn't even think there could be a possibility of not reseting the stats before game is going live.
Therefore the main thing I intended to say was, it WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE THEN FAIR, to email the meanwhile inactive founders, who invested 100 Dollars in a not yet ready game, to give me a slight chance to notice without keeping track of daily news on the homepage.
That's all.

No more resets was a stated reason they went to Open Beta, and Open Beta was referred to as a soft launch. You are not the only person who was unaware, but the number of people is small enough that they did a pretty good job of getting the info out there.

Please kick up a firestorm for.. uhh, is it still in SUPER NDA mode? For uh... some other game.
