Hopefully this is the right place to put this:

As of this afternoon (as far as I am aware) I have lost the ability to type in chat while ingame. All the other keyboard controls appear to work, but none of the bound type keys seem to function. All, team and lance are equally unresponsive. Anyone got any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Everything else from the battlegrid to the score screens seem to be functioning correctly but not being able to communicate at all is going to cause a lot of trouble.

Happens to me quite often as well and for that reason I would like to bring this topic to life.
Anyone got idea how to activate chat when you lose it?
I can press T/Y/U and chat box won't appear but other players can chat.
Nothing more frustrating when you want to pass warning message to others but you can't !

Interesting - I have something similar. I can bring up a Chat screen, but I cannot actually 'finish' a message, because my 'Return' Key will not work. I am stuck in the chat unless I hit 'Esc' to lose the screen, and then come back. Any help would be great.

same with me, so im not suck but very often i have to type a message 2-3 times bevor the game acepts my enter key

This happens to me sometimes when I'm alt tabbing. It takes a few in and outs of the game and mashing escape furiously to fix it. I just assumed it was from that.

Yeah, I've had this far too many times in my light mechs. If I cant communicate with my team on enemy positions then I'm forced to go straight for the capture.
