First person only view. Collisions. Scouting is key to gameplay. "Information Warfare".
Yeah it was Deathmatch only at the time but "Sometime between this winter and next spring, Piranha plans to roll out Community Warfare" turning MWO into an intergalactic territory battle.
And even "before CW deploys" they're going to add Conquest mode with fully armed functional bases.
"It's not just about running to a point" says creative director Bryan Ekman
Sounds awesome!
And before we even get Conquest mode there will be ingame dropships letting us fight battles in waves!
I can't wait for winter/spring of 2013!!
Such glorious plans MWO. What have you become?

Holy crap, don't give them ideas.I fear they might actually pull that off.
Hey, it's not like this game isn't a total money grab anyway. Kinda funny that the sales are centered around all the imbalance cheese that they refuse to fix. Why not be a total sell out to console gamers as well?

Why Xbox one? Graphically MWO perfectly fits to Xbox360 or PS3, these platforms are more than enough for its 'lush' graphics. It's Yesterday Gen.
Hmm I don't think so. While MWO is hardly the most cutting edge use of cryengine in the universe, it is still an extremely demanding game, at least as far as F2P games go. My Dual Core 3.0 Windows XP machine with a GTX460 couldn't really handle this game, so I had to go out last August and get a new PC. And my Windows XP machine was much more powerful than a 360 or PS3.

Isn't crysis 3 on xbox360? It's much, much easier to code a game when everyone uses the same hardware. Honestly people with xbox game experience could probably get MWO running on a 360.

They may be able to clean up their act, but it's a real wait and see thing. Clans launch (when/if they get there) will likely revive the game in the same way expansion packs revive franchises like wow.
As for the SC juggernaut, I believe it's going to have all the same teething issues with the community and more once December hits, although they are shaping up as a much more polished product at this point (that said it helps when your CO can get a full team from crytek on board directly with issues and has piles of cash he doesn't have to justify/split with suit investors)
The rot is already setting in over there with entitlement issues and argument over mechanic speculation, and i'm sure the min specs on the alpha is going to melt forums..........

They should have dropped the 'beta' and 'not released' tags long before they started to seriously grab cash; now they're sailing into relativly uncharted territory vis a vis requirements under consumer law.

Drama post Madlibs!
"Will this game be able to survive ____?"
A. Hawken
B. Planetside 2
C. Star Citizen
After being away from these forums for a while, it's reassuring to know that people are still filing the serial numbers off the same posts they were making about something else six months ago.

Those highlighted segments, those are the promises that kept me playing this game. Those are the features that would have made this game incredible. PGI has, without a doubt, bitten off more than they could chew and the current state of this "game" and their decisions proves it. MWO is far along the path of yet another dead game that could have been great.
